AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)03/31 Report--

According to reports, the financial news agency learned from the minutes of BYD's investor meeting: at present, BYD's cumulative outstanding orders reached 400000 vehicles, and it is still increasing month by month. According to public data, BYD sold 730093 vehicles in 2021, an increase of 75.4% over the same period last year, of which sales of new energy passenger vehicles reached 593745, an increase of 231.60% over the same period last year. BYD's DM-i models, in particular, have a difficult car on the market. Data show that in the past 2021, the cumulative sales of DM models for the whole year was 272935, an increase of 467.6% over the same period last year, with an increase of 144.9% over the same period last year.

For this year's annual sales target, BYD has already decided to achieve its sales target of 1.2 million vehicles this year, and if the supply chain improves, BYD will hit the annual sales target of 2 million vehicles. To nearly double sales in 2022, the DM-i is expected to remain an important BYD model, with the Han series expected to sell more than 30, 000 vehicles a month. However, there are a large number of BYD DM-i models waiting to be delivered, according to Interface News. Specifically, Qin PLUS DM-i currently has 60 people waiting, the longest waiting time is 423 days; Song PLUS DM-i currently has 258 people waiting, the longest waiting time is 396 days; while Tang DM-i has 366 people waiting, the longest waiting time has reached 454 days. In addition, Interface News reported that a waiting customer in Shanghai said that she did not hesitate to place an order after seeing that the car booking contract showed that the deposit could be refunded without picking up the car after four months of waiting. However, seven months have passed and the car still cannot be picked up.

In fact, as early as May last year, BYD had a "short supply" situation because of hot orders for DM-i models, and due to the long delivery time of DM-i models, BYD also issued a "note on the delivery of DM-i super hybrid models" on Weibo, BYD said in a note: "We are also actively arranging and deploying to accelerate the production capacity of DM-i super hybrid models. Due to the large number of orders and the relatively slow delivery of vehicles, the average waiting time for the delivery of new orders is still 3.5 months. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to DM-i customers. "

The latest figures show that in February this year, BYD produced 91406 vehicles and sold 91078 vehicles. According to the data, BYD's production and sales in February were basically the same. Instead of producing more and selling less, BYD faced a shortage of demand. When the auto industry focused on viewing BYD from complaint platforms such as the quality of cars, there were also complaints from a number of car owners about "not mentioning cars", including dolphins, Qin PLUS DM-i, Song PLUS DM-i and so on.

For BYD owners who "can't pick up the car" and BYD's slow delivery time, people in the automobile industry believe that as the leader of domestic new energy vehicles, BYD can achieve self-sufficiency in semiconductors and power batteries, so it is less affected by the shortage of chips. the main reason that affects the supply of DM-i and other models may be due to the lack of production capacity of BYD itself, on the other hand. In recent months, BYD's production and sales have basically reached 90,000 vehicles, and the situation that supply falls short of demand also means that BYD's sales of new energy vehicles have soared.

BYD said: at present, the growth trend of raw material prices is slowing, and if the price of lithium carbonate remains at the current level, it will not have much impact on the sales of new energy vehicles this year. BYD estimates that the penetration rate of new energy vehicles for the whole year will exceed 35%, which could reach 40%.

According to BYD's previous product plan, BYD will launch a number of new energy vehicles in 2022, such as the dynasty series of Yuan plus, Han DM-i, Song MAX DM-i and the new Tang EV, as well as destroyer 05, seal and frigate 07.

Among them, BYD destroyer 05 was launched on March 17, and the new car launched a total of 5 models with a price range of 11.98-155800 yuan. BYD DM-i and DM-p also started pre-sale on March 19, of which Han DM-i launched a total of four models with a pre-sale price range of 21.68-292800 yuan Han DM-p has only one model, with an advance price of 322800 yuan. It is worth mentioning that the cumulative pre-sale orders of BYD DM-i and DM-p exceeded 12098 in 10 hours, which can be said to be a popular style. As for whether the launch of a number of new models this year can bring rapid sales growth to BYD, it will take more time for the market to give the answer.
