The recalled model is Geely Vision GC7. According to the latest announcement, Zhejiang Haoqing Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has recalled some of the 2016 Geely Vision GC7 cars produced from January 27 to November 26, 2016, totaling 18031.

The reason for the recall: due to the automatic transmission control strategy, the transmission oil kettle may spill oil when the vehicle is driving under specific operating conditions (long uphill acceleration). The spilled oil may have a fire in the case of a fire source, and there is a safety risk.

Solution: Zhejiang Haoqing Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. will replace the transmission control unit after software upgrade for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge, in order to eliminate safety risks.

In addition, the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration announced that the recall was carried out under the circumstances that the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration launched a defect investigation. Affected by the investigation, Zhejiang Haoqing Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. decided to take recall measures to eliminate safety risks.
