The third new model in the BYD family series, the Han EV Genesis version, is also officially launched today. The new car is another new model launched after BYD's Han DM-i and Han DM-p. The new car has launched a total of three models, with a vehicle price of 26.98-288600 yuan. As a reference, the official guide price of the old BYD EV is 20. 98-279500 yuan. By contrast, the starting price of the new model is 60,000 yuan higher.

As a medium-term modified model, the new car has been adjusted to varying degrees in terms of appearance, interior configuration and power. Specifically, in terms of appearance, the overall appearance design of the new car continues the design of the old model, still using the family design language, but there are changes in the details. The front face part, compared with the old model, the biggest highlight of the new car is the addition of a piano black sports kit to the front face, which makes the whole car look more athletic. In addition, the new car also uses a new shape of 19-inch rims to enhance the sense of movement of the vehicle. The new car has a slender shape on the side of the body, and a new design of dragon claw marks has been added to the C-pillar. The rear part of the new car has also been adjusted in detail, including a simpler rear bumper and a new style design for the taillight group, which is more recognizable when lit at night. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car is 4995/1910/1495mm and the wheelbase is 2920mm. Compared with the old model, the length of the new car Han EV is longer than 15mm, and the size of the flagship car Model S of Tesla is even larger.

In the interior part, the overall design of the new car is basically the same as that of the old model, and simplicity and fashion is still the "main tone" of the interior style. in terms of configuration, the new car is equipped with a 12.3-inch LCD dashboard and a 15.6-inch rotary central control screen. and a new all-in-one sports seat.

In terms of power, the new car offers two versions of the front-drive and four-wheel-drive models, with a maximum mileage of 610 km and 715 km respectively. Among them, the maximum power of the front-drive model is 180kW, the acceleration time of 100km is 7.9s, and the mileage under CLTC standard is 715km; the all-wheel drive model will be equipped with electronically controlled active suspension with integrated power of 380kW, acceleration time of 100km in 3.9s, and mileage of 610km under CLTC standard. For comparison, the best runner of the old model is the two-wheel drive ultra-long-range version, which is 605km, while the 715km version directly increases the range of 110km, so the new car has a big improvement in terms of range.

Generally speaking, the performance of the new car in the appearance and interior parts is regular, but the mileage of the new car has increased significantly, the starting price has also increased, and the market performance after the launch of the new car has not yet arrived.

In terms of specific models, the BYD Han family sold 12359 vehicles in March, of which Han EV sold more than 10,000 vehicles and reached 10178.

With the official launch of four models of the BYD Han family today, it is expected to bring better results for BYD. According to statistics, BYD sold a total of 291378 vehicles in the first quarter of 2022. According to the annual target of 1.2 million vehicles, BYD has achieved 24.3% of its annual target in the first quarter, and the remaining 75.7% will be completed in three quarters.
