On April 13, Japan's Ministry of Land and Transport announced that it would recall some Toyota and Lexus models in Japan, in which Toyota will recall Lande Cool Luze 300, RAV4, Harrier and Mirai models, and Lexus will recall brand-new NX, LX600, LS500h and other models.

According to news released by Japan's Ministry of Land and Transport, Toyota and Lexus recalled a total of 11 models, totaling 88161. The vehicles within the scope of this recall mainly involve two reasons, including due to the abnormality of the electronic stability system (VSC) control program, if the VSC function is turned off, press the brake pedal and let the vehicle turn off and start again, the VSC will still be closed, which will eventually lead to the failure of the electronic stability system. Because the installation part of the shock absorber in the engine cabin is not welded with the car body, it will cause cracks in this part for a long time, which in extreme cases will cause the shock absorber to fall off and affect the driving stability.

On the same day, Japan's Toyota Motor Company announced that it would recall more than 259000 Sienta vehicles because of poor waterproofing, which may prevent the engine from running after entering Rain Water.

This problem also occurred three years ago, when Sienta cars were recalled because of the above-mentioned problems. In response, Japan's Ministry of Land and Transport said that the waterproof structure between the Toyota SIENTA front windshield and the engine cover is not perfect and will age over time, and the water entering the car body cannot be discharged effectively. Once Rain Water infiltrates, it may cause the engine parts to deform, and if there is a lot of rain and water, it may even enter the interior of the engine through the nozzle so that the vehicle can not start. Toyota said it would repair the sealing rubber on the hood of all recalled vehicles, add drainage guides, inspect the engine and replace it with a new engine if something goes wrong.
