On April 21, Changan Deep Blue officially announced the power information of C385, the first model of Changan Deep Blue. The new car will launch three versions of pure electric, added program and hydrogen electricity. Specifically, the comprehensive mileage of pure electric models can reach more than 700km, the maximum power of the motor is 190kW, and the power consumption is as low as 12.3kWh / 100km; the integrated mileage of hybrid models is more than 1200km, the mileage of pure electricity is more than 200km, and the fuel consumption is about 4.5L/100km; the comprehensive mileage of hydrogen-electric models can reach more than 700km, and the replenishment time is about 3 minutes, which is also the first mass-produced hydrogen fuel cell car in China.

On April 13, Changan Automobile officially launched its new pure electric brand-Changan Deep Blue. Its first model is the aforementioned all-electric car, with the internal code name "C385". The car will go on sale in June this year and begin delivery in the third quarter.

On August 24, 2021, Changan Automobile released its internal code name C385, which was built on the CHN architecture based on the era of Changan, Huawei and Ningde. Combined with the pictures released by the official before, in terms of appearance, the new car adopts the brand-new electric vehicle design style of Changan Automobile, and the overall shape is very novel. Part of the front face of the new car uses a completely closed grille, equipped with similar "petal"-shaped LED headlamp group on both sides, with the popular split headlamp group design, the whole front face looks quite avant-garde. On the side of the body, the new car uses the popular hatchback rear door design, but also uses a hidden door knob. From the picture, the rim design style of the new car is also very consistent with the positioning of pure electric models. In the rear part, the new car uses a penetrating taillight and is equipped with a two-stage fixed spoiler with an overall partial movement style.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car is 4820/1890/1480mm, the wheelbase is 2900mm, and the position is a medium-sized car. As a comparison, the length, width and height of Tesla Model 3 are 4694/1850/1443mm and wheelbase 2875mm respectively. In terms of body size, the new car is comparable to Model 3.

Interior part, the overall design of the new car is relatively simple, mainly black as the main color, with silver ornaments, configuration, the new car is equipped with a large central suspension screen, full liquid crystal dashboard and double-spoke multi-function steering wheel. In terms of power, the new car will launch three versions of pure electric, add-on and hydrogen electricity, which have more advantages than Tesla Model 3. So far, officials have only announced the vehicle's battery life and energy consumption. In terms of competition, it is expected that the new car will form a competitor with Tesla Model 3 and other models after its launch.

Changan Automobile, as one of the domestic independent brands to enter the new energy field earlier, as early as October 2017, Changan Automobile announced the "Shangri-La Plan", this "Shangri-La Plan" directly refers to the new energy vehicle market. According to the plan, Changan Automobile will invest more than 100 billion yuan in new energy in the next eight years, and will completely stop the sale of traditional fuel vehicles by 2025. On March 26 last month, Zhu Huarong, party secretary and chairman of Changan Automobile, also said that with the acceleration of new energy vehicles, the competition in China's fuel vehicle market will be more fierce. There are 85 brands in the traditional fuel vehicle market in 2021. Among them, 34 brands sell less than 1,000 sets per month, and 9 brands die out. Zhu Huarong believes that in the next 3-5 years, 80% of Chinese fuel car brands will "close down and merge" (that is, close down, stop production, merge and transform). To put it simply, in the next 3-5 years, only a small number of car companies will be able to continue to develop in the Chinese market as fuel vehicles, while others will either close down, merge or transform. In short, next, Changan Automobile will step up its efforts to lay out the new energy vehicle market.

In terms of production planning, Changan Automobile will launch 36 new products this year, 19 of its own brands (including 9 new products, 10 revamped products and 8 new energy products). In addition, the Changan Deep Blue brand will launch 5 models (including C385EV, C673EV, UNI-KPHEV, UNI-V PHEV, Auchan Z6-PHEV). By 2025, Changan Automobile plans to launch more than 30 products. Avita currently has 4 complete vehicle products. Including the upcoming mass production of Avita 011.

Looking back at the past 2021, the cumulative sales of Changan Automobile was 1.75 million, an increase of 16.7% over the same period last year, of which the sales of new energy vehicles exceeded 100000. For this year's annual sales target, Changan set 2.45 million vehicles, of which 1.857 million were produced and sold by its own brands, an increase of 5.9% over the same period last year and a market share of 11%. In the longer term, Changan Automobile plans to completely stop selling fuel vehicles in 2025. At that time, the sales of new energy vehicles will reach 1.05 million, accounting for 35% of the total sales. By 2030, Changan will sell 5.5 million vehicles, of which 4.5 million are independent cars and 2.7 million are new energy vehicles, accounting for 60%.
