Among these new models, the e:NP1 from Dongfeng Honda is the first to appear on the market.

On April 26th, Dongfeng Honda e:NP1 officially launched, the new car positioning small pure electric SUV, launched a total of four models, the price range is 175000-218000 yuan.

Dongfeng Honda e:NS1 is based on Honda's EVR N Architecture F platform, and the overall styling is derived from the Honda e:Prototype prototype. From the point of view of the appearance, the new car is enclosed with an "H" LOGO design that can be lit, and the slender and sharp headlights form an integrated design with the enclosed China net, with Heart beat interactive lights, which is obviously different from the models currently on sale by Honda. On the side of the car body, a straight waistline runs through the head and tail, similar to the colorful wisdom and XR-V, the rear door also uses a hidden door handle design, but the front door is still a traditional door handle. The rear part of the car, which is different from the traditional model, does not put the "H" mark on the rear, but is replaced by the brand name of "Honda", and a small tail wing is designed at the rear of the car. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4388/1790/1560mm, wheelbase is 2610mm, positioning small pure electric SUV.

In terms of interior decoration, Dongfeng Honda e:NP1 is still slightly traditional, but it still has a great breakthrough compared with the Honda fuel cars on sale, which is equipped with a 15.2-inch high-definition ultra-thin frame center control screen and a 10.25-inch color all-LCD digital dashboard, which integrates the Honda SENSING 360intelligent driving assistance system and the Honda CONNECT intelligence guidance interconnection system.

In terms of power, Dongfeng Honda e:NS1 offers two versions: e-version and e-dynamic version, in which the maximum power of e-version is 134kW, and the pure electric mileage of e-version is up to 420km, while the maximum power of e-version is 150kW, and the pure electric mileage of e-version is 510km.

As the world's largest market for new energy vehicles, Honda has begun to lay out. In October 2021, Honda China officially launched the new pure electric car brand "eVV N", and will launch 10 "EVR N Series" electric vehicles one after another within five years, of which two joint ventures Dongfeng Honda and Guangzhou Auto Honda have launched e:NS1 and e:NP1 models respectively this year. Relying on the Chinese market, Honda will also deepen the production of pure electric vehicles with two local companies, and their new pure electric vehicle factories will be put into production from 2024, and the pure electric vehicles will be exported to overseas markets in addition to supplying the domestic market. On the dealer side, Honda will push about 1200 dealers in China to create sales areas dedicated to the EVOR N series, and plans to open EVOR N dealerships in major cities to sell only electric models. According to Honda, which previously disclosed plans to build special electric vehicle production plants in Guangzhou and Wuhan, China, it was reported that Guangzhou Auto Honda might take over Guangzhou's Guangzhou plant, while Dongfeng Honda accepted the Shenlong II plant.

In addition to Honda, Toyota and Nissan are also speeding up the electric layout in the Chinese market. It is understood that Guangzhou Auto Toyota bZ4X will start pre-sale on April 28th, the new car positioning pure electric medium-sized SUV, based on Toyota e-TNGA architecture. Dongfeng Nissan Ariya has completed the application in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the new car positioning compact pure electric SUV will be released on April 27 and open blind booking. In terms of power, Dongfeng Nissan Ariya high-performance version will be equipped with front and rear dual motors, the comprehensive power of the system will reach 320kW, and equipped with ternary lithium battery pack.

Cui Dongshu, secretary-general of the National passenger vehicle Association, said that despite the epidemic, chip shortage, rising raw material prices and other adverse factors, China's new energy passenger vehicles have continued a high growth trend. China's new energy vehicle market share is expected to rise to a new high of 65%.
