In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car is 4603/1900/1654mm, the wheelbase is 2775mm, and the positioning compact SUV.
The interior part has not been officially announced, and it is expected that the interior part of the new car will be consistent with the overseas version. In terms of power, the new car will launch two-wheel-drive version and four-wheel-drive version, of which the two-wheel-drive version will be equipped with a single motor with maximum power of 178kW with a peak torque of 300Nm, while the four-wheel-drive version will have a front and rear motor with a maximum power of 160kW with a peak torque of 600Nm. In terms of battery life, the new car will provide 87kWh and 63kWh capacity batteries, and the WLTC will have a range of 430km to 610km. As an early leader in the electric vehicle industry, Nissan released a "Nissan Vision 2030" as early as November 29th last year. According to the plan, Nissan plans to invest 2 trillion yen ($17.6 billion) in the next five years to convert more product lines to electrification. For example, Nissan will launch 20 pure electric models and models equipped with Nissan e-POWER technology in the next five years. Nissan also said it would launch 23 electrified vehicles in fiscal year 2030, including 15 electric vehicles. Nissan hopes to account for 50 per cent of global electric-driven models under its Nissan and Infiniti brands by fiscal year 2030 (2030.4.1-2031.3.31). At the event, Nissan also unveiled four new concept models, including two pure electric SUV, a pure electric sports car and a pure electric pickup, named Chill-Out, Hang-Out, Max-Out and Surf-Out, respectively, but did not disclose specific parameters. According to the plan, by fiscal year 2026 (2026.4.1-2027.3.31), Nissan's electric-driven models in China will account for more than 40% of the total vehicle sales. The figures for Europe, Japan and the United States are more than 75%, 55% and 40%, respectively. In mid-February, Nissan also announced that it would stop developing most new gasoline engines for the Japanese, Chinese and European markets.
However, in the current highly competitive pure electric market, Dongfeng Nissan as a latecomer, the market performance of the first pure electric SUV Ariya after its launch is not yet known. Public data show that cumulative sales of Dongfeng Nissan (including Nissan / Qichen / Infiniti brands) in the first quarter of 2022 were 242931, down 16.9% from a year earlier, including 67910 in March, down 33.5% from a year earlier.
