Yingku is the second model of GAC MOTOR's "shadow" generation, and the first model is the well-known shadow leopard in the market. From the point of view of the exterior design, it is completely different from the design style of Shadow Leopard, the whole car uses more severe lines to outline the overall outline, the front air grille adopts frameless design, and the gap width of 24 air intakes arranged in V-shaped shape is gradually distributed according to the isometric series, which makes the front of the car look more aggressive. The shape of the headlight group is also very fierce, the day lights, width lights, far and near lights and turn lights use integrated matrix modules, and the day lights are well integrated with the rimless grille.

From the side, the new car adopts a slip-back styling design, the mirrors and windows are chrome-plated + black decoration, the front part is designed with hidden A-column, and the chrome strip on the rear window echoes with the rear spoiler. In terms of interior decoration, the Yingku instrument desk area uses the scroll shape design, so that the central control screen, knob, air outlet and so on show the visual effect of scroll expansion, and the air outlet is equipped with a large-size suspended central control screen embedded with ADiGO 5.0Smart driver interconnected ecosystem. It is worth mentioning that Yingku is the first Chuanqi model that uses a pick-type gear shift. In addition to the shift mechanism, the door opening mode of the new car has also changed from a push-pull type to a pick door lock, which can be opened by a pick at the front end of the door panel handrail.

In terms of power, the new car will offer three power options, a hybrid system consisting of 2.0ATK Atkinson engine + GMC2.0 electromechanical coupling system, Cruise Power 1.5TGDI engine + 7-speed wet double clutch gearbox and 2.0TGDI engine + Ericsson 8AT gearbox. However, the official has not released the specific parameters for the time being, and we will continue to pay attention.

Starting from the Shadow Leopard model, GAC MOTOR's design style began to change. From the perspective of Yingku model, there is still some innovation in vehicle design, but compared with GAC MOTOR's SUV model, its appearance has changed a lot. GAC MOTOR Shadow Leopard officially launched on August 1, 2021, with a total of four new models with a price range of 9.88-128000 yuan. It is understood that Shadow Leopard is the first car based on Chuanqi GPMA platform, in which J10 and J11 models use sports style, J15 and J16 models use fighter style. In terms of sales volume, the sales from August to December of 2021 were 3900, 6153, 10021, 10050 and 7106 respectively, and from January to March 2022 were 4458, 2002 and 3000 respectively.

From the perspective of competitors, Shadow Cool positioning compact SUV, will be locked on the car Rongwei Whale, no matter from the product positioning, design level and power level are very close, previously announced the pre-price range of 16.68-192800 yuan. In addition, Yingku may also erode the joint venture compact SUV market, including Toyota's Fenglanda and Carola Ruifang and so on.

In GAC MOTOR's product sequence naming, GS stands for SUV, M for MPV, and GA for cars, while Shadow Leopard and Shadow Cool will become GAC MOTOR's brand-new product line, focusing on the young and avant-garde image, and more film series products will be launched in the future. According to the intellectual property Office, GAC MOTOR has applied for trademarks including Shadow Yao, Shadow Tiger, Shadow Lion, Shadow Wing, Shadow Blade, Shadow Falcon and other trademarks, which is expected to become the name of the "Shadow" series of models in the future.
