Dongfeng Honda plans to launch a number of new models in 2022, including the new Civic, the new Civic hybrid, the new Civic HATCHBACK, the new Civic TYPE-R, the new generation XR-V, the new generation CR-V, the new pure electric e:NS1 and a new SUV model, a total of 8 models. Among them, Dongfeng Honda's new SUV model is likely to be a sister model to Guangzhou Auto Honda's upcoming new SUV, while if GAC Honda HR-V uses the American version, then Dongfeng Honda HR-V will adopt the daily version.

Prior to this, Guangzhou Auto Honda has exposed spy photos, the overall shape of the new car is still using the standard SUV body structure, but because of the heavy camouflage, so the details can not be known. In fact, from the shape of the body and taillights, this car is almost the same as the American version of the HR-V, so it is speculated that the model should be a domestic version of the HR-V, but it is not known whether it is true or not.
