According to the previous plan, the new car will be released at the end of May, and will be launched and delivered this year. On February 15 this year, Qin Lihong, co-founder of Xilai, revealed that an ES7 model will be released this year. The ES7 model is based on the NT2.0 platform, with the same intelligent level as ET5 and ET7, and the positioning is between ES6 and ES8. The price of the vehicle is expected to be more than 400000, and the new car will compete with the long wheelbase version of brilliance BMW X5 after its launch.

Judging from the latest photos of the undisguised taillight group, the shape of the new taillight group is consistent with that of the ET7, using the popular penetrating design style and blackening, with a high tilt of the rear windshield at the rear and a rearview camera on the roof.

According to the espionage photos previously exposed, the new car will use the latest family design language, and the front face is similar to the ET7 model. Specifically, the long daytime driving lights on both sides of the front of the new car are arranged longitudinally at the bottom, making the whole highly recognizable. In addition, the camera of the new car is designed in front of the wheel eyebrow lamp, the position of the charging port is changed from the left to the right side of the rear of the car, and there is a lidar and two high-level cameras above the front windshield, which is consistent with the ET7 and ET5 models. On the side of the body, the roof and body of the new car are designed in two colors, which looks more fashionable. In addition, the new car adopts a suspension design, the roof line extends down from the B column to the rear, and is equipped with five-spoke blackening rims, and the window frame and roof luggage rack are blackened at the same time, the overall shape is more dynamic, in line with the tonality of the whole vehicle.

The size of the body has not been officially announced, but given that the size of the new car is between ES6 and ES8, the length of the new car is expected to be about 5 meters and is expected to be between 4900 and 4950mm. For comparison, the length, width and height of the ES6 are 4850/1965/1758mm and the wheelbase is 2900mm, while the length, width and height of the ES8 are 5022/1962/1756mm and the wheelbase is 3010mm. In addition, according to the previous statement, the new car will compete with the domestic BMW X5 long wheelbase version after its launch. Similarly, as a reference, the domestic BMW X5 has a length, width and height of 5060/2004/1779mm, wheelbase 3105mm, and positioning medium and large SUV.

The interior and power aspects have not been officially announced at present. According to previous revelations, the new car will be equipped with Qualcomm's third-generation digital cockpit platform, using Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processing chip, Banyan computer system and the latest NAD autopilot assist system, NIO Aquila super-sensing system, Adam supercomputing platform and lidar, with the same level of intelligence as ET7. On the power side, given that the new car, like the ET7 model, is based on the NT2.0 platform, it is expected that the power parameters of the new car will be the same as the ET7 model. As a reference, the ET7 model is equipped with front and rear double motors, maximum power 480kW, maximum torque 850N m. In addition, industry insiders said that the power parameters of ES7 are expected to be more advantageous than Tesla Model X (except the three-motor version).

As far as the current medium and large pure electric SUV market is concerned, Volkswagen ID.6 CROZZ (vehicle price is 24.52-334800 yuan) and ID.6 X (vehicle price is 23.9888-335888) are both medium and large pure electric SUV products. Both models offer 6-seat and 7-seat options. By contrast, the new car offers only five seats, but judging from the information currently exposed, the new car will compete with the domestic BMW X5 after its launch. While the domestic BMW X5 is priced in the range of 60.5-775000 yuan, the new car, as a medium and large SUV under NIO, will maintain the high-end nature of the NIO brand, and the price is expected to be between 450000 and 550000 yuan.

According to the official website of Xilai Automobile, there are three models on sale, namely, ES6, ES8 and EC6, among which the ES6 price of positioning medium-sized SUV is 35.80-526000 yuan; the ES8 price of medium-sized positioning SUV is 46.80-624000 yuan; and the EC6 price of positioning medium-sized SUV is 36.80-513400 yuan. In terms of sales volume, a total of 91429 vehicles were delivered in 2021, of which the cumulative sales of ES6, EC6 and ES8 in 2021 were 41474, 29905 and 20050 respectively. The latest figures show that from January to April this year, NIO delivered a total of 30842 vehicles, lagging behind Xiaopeng (43563) and ideal (35883), of which 5074 new cars were delivered in April this year, down 13.5% from the same period last year.

In terms of product planning, in addition to the ES7 models mentioned above, two models, ET7 and ET5, will be delivered this year, of which, the large flagship sedan located by ET7 will be delivered on March 28th, and the ET5 positioning medium-sized luxury car, which is positioned lower than ET7, will be sold at 328000 yuan and 386000 yuan respectively before the subsidy, and is expected to be officially delivered in September this year.
