On May 5, China Insurance Research C-IASI released the list of the first batch of tested models in 2022, including two new energy vehicles and three traditional fuel vehicles, namely Xiaopeng P5, Ola good Cat, Chuanqi Shadow Leopard, Honda Civic and Hyundai Elantra. The above models will adopt the China Insurance Automobile Safety Index regulations (version 2020). The latest version 2020 includes bumper frontal collision, bumper rear-end collision, automatic emergency braking-vehicle to pedestrians and cyclists, lane deviation assistance, etc., of which the biggest highlight is the addition of 25% offset collision on the passenger side (optional), but judging from the previous test results released by C-IASI Few car companies participate in the passenger side front 25% offset collision test.

Judging from the models tested this time, they are basically relatively hot models in the market. Xiaopeng P5 is Xiaopeng's third production car, which was officially launched on September 15, 2021. The current price range is 17.79-242900 yuan, which is the second model of Xiaopeng car sales. Taking the April data as an example, Xiaopeng delivered a total of 9002 new cars, including 3714 for Xiaopeng P7, 3564 for Xiaopeng P5 and 1724 for Xiaopeng G3. Prior to this, C-IASI tested the Xiaopeng G3, in which durability and maintenance economy were P, and the other three items were G, but the China Insurance Automobile Safety Index regulations (version 2017) were adopted at that time, while the Xiaopeng G3 was revised in the medium term in 2021. As for the performance of the Xiaopeng P5, it is worth looking forward to.

The new Honda Civic went on sale on September 24, 2021, with a total of six new models with an official guidance price of 12.99-163900 yuan. As a whole-generation model, the eleventh generation Civic has adopted a brand-new exterior design, eliminating 1.0T engine in terms of power, and carrying 1.5T high and low power engines in all departments. As a compact car owned by Honda, Civic has been upgraded 11 times. In 2016, Dongfeng Honda introduced the Civic into domestic production and sales, and its sales have been firmly at the top of the domestic car list. According to the data, the annual sales of Civic from 2017 to 2021 were 172500, 218100, 244000, 233000 and 159000 respectively, with a cumulative sales of 43,300 vehicles in the first quarter of this year.

Chuanqi Shadow Leopard went on sale on August 1, 2021, and the new car launched a total of four models with a price range of 9.83-128000 yuan. It is understood that Shadow Leopard is the first car based on Chuanqi GPMA platform, in which J10 and J11 models use sports style, J15 and J16 models use fighter style. In terms of sales volume, the sales from August to December of 2021 were 3900, 6153, 10021, 10050 and 7106 respectively, and from January to March 2022 were 4458, 2002 and 3000 respectively. At the beginning of the listing, the popularity of Chuanqi Shadow Leopard is still relatively high, its cool appearance triggered heated discussion in the market, and its competition is also aimed at Honda Civic and other sports cars.

Hyundai Elantra is currently the highest-selling model in Beijing. Beijing Hyundai sold a total of 57400 vehicles in the first quarter of this year, of which 15931 were Elantra. The seventh generation Elantra, which went on sale on October 25, 2020, currently sells for 9.98-141800 yuan and offers two powertrains, 1.5L+CVT and 1.4T+7 speed dual clutch gearbox.

Since the suspension of the sale of Euler Black Cat and Euler White Cat, the Euler Cat has become the only model on sale for Euler cars, with a price range of 12.79 yuan to 157900 yuan. On March 19th, Euler, a brand of Great Wall Motors, issued a price adjustment statement: affected by the continuous sharp rise in the price of upstream raw materials, Euler will adjust the price of 2022 Euler cats (including GT version). After subsidies, the comprehensive guidance price will be increased by 6000-7000 yuan.

C-IASI is one of the third-party vehicle evaluation institutions in China, but due to many disputes in the evaluation results of Haoying models, its rigor has been questioned. In the past year, C-IASI kept a low profile and announced five upcoming test models in early 2021, including Tank 300, Mazda CX-30, Ford Rui Ji, Toyota C-HR, Citroen Tianyi C5 AIRCROSS, until October 30, 2021, including Ford Ruiji, Mazda CX-30, Volkswagen ID.4X, Changan UNI-K and Guangzhou Automobile Acura RDX. The results of six models, including Buick Enron S, Toyota C-HR, Citroen Tianyi C5 ARICROSS, Wei Brand Tank 300, Nissan's new Qijun, Buick GL8 ES Lu Zun and Tesla Model Y, were announced on April 6, 2022. From the point of view of the 2020 version of the regulations, the last performance is Volkswagen ID.4 X, which is the performance of all G.
