As a medium-term revamped model, the front face of the new car has changed greatly, with a flatter double kidney air intake grille on the front face, and a double rotary dart structure for daytime driving lights. Compared with the current model, the daytime driving lights of the new car have changed into a slender inverted "L" design, and the net has also changed from the black plastic in cash to the chrome-plated dot matrix design, and the size of the vent below the license plate frame is larger. As a whole, compared with the current BMW 3-Series, the new car looks more aggressive and more recognizable.

What is more interesting is that this new car will also provide a variety of grille styles, including the internal dotted "full sky star" double kidney grille, the full sky star black highlight frame grille and the conventional vertical decoration bar style. from the declaration chart, the three grille are active intake grille, and the sensor area at the lower part of the grille varies according to different configurations.

The rear part of the new car does not change much, the new car taillight uses a black design, the internal LED light belt is "L" type, which is highly recognizable after lighting, while the lower encirclement uses a larger area of black plastic decoration, which is visually distinct, and the new car is equipped with a small rear diffuser decoration and two-sided exhaust layout.

In terms of body size, the new car will provide standard axle version and long axle version, in which the length, width and height dimensions of standard axle version are 4728/1827/1452mm and wheelbase 2851mm respectively, which is close to some mainstream B-class cars on the market. The length, width and height dimensions of the long-axle version are 4838/1827/1454mm and wheelbase 2961mm respectively. There has been an improvement in size compared to current models, but slightly shorter than Mercedes-Benz C and Audi A4L.

In terms of configuration, the new car will be equipped with sidewind window trim, rear spoiler, intake grille, outer rearview mirror shell, cruise sensor, front / rear bumper side sensor and so on. In addition, according to the declaration information, the new car will also provide five kinds of rims, panoramic image, driving assistance system and other configurations. In terms of tire specifications, the new car will provide three combinations of front and rear 225mp 45 R18; front 225amp 45 R18, rear 255max 40R18; front 225amp 40R19, rear 255amp 35R19.

In the interior part, according to previously exposed spy photos, the new car will use the same curved double screen interior as the pure electric car i3, and will be equipped with an iDrive 8.0 interactive system with a 12.3inch LCD dashboard and a 14.9inch central touch screen. In terms of power, the new car is expected to be available in both standard and long axles, and the whole system is still equipped with a 2.0T B48 engine. In addition, according to the vehicle class, the engine power is also different, including 320 net power 156 horsepower, 325 net power 184 horsepower, 330 net power 245 horsepower. With a slight reduction of 13 horsepower compared to the current 330s, the new 3-Series still comes with a standard ZF 8AT gearbox and offers rear-drive and four-wheel-drive systems.

Data show that the current BMW 3-Series (standard axis version G20, long-axis version G28) has been on the market in China since June 2019, and it is the seventh generation of the series, while the model exposed this time is the medium-term modified product of this generation. From the current domestic market, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Audi A4L are competitors of BMW 3-Series.

As the sales responsibility of BMW, the BMW 3-Series has outstanding sales among the same-class models. Data show that in the past 2021, the cumulative domestic sales of the BMW 3-Series (including standard axles and long axles) exceeded 170000, ranking first in luxury models of the same class, surpassing Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Audi A4L. In addition, the latest figures show that from January to April this year, BMW 3-Series accumulated sales of 50852 vehicles; Mercedes-Benz C-Class cumulative sales of 35634 vehicles; Audi A4L cumulative sales of 42645 vehicles.
