As the medium-term modified model of this generation Bora, the new Bora mainly adjusts the appearance details, making it more concise and younger. By comparing with the current model, it is not difficult to find that the front grille of the new model reduces the internal vertical chromium plating decoration on the basis of maintaining a single banner chrome strip, and the shape of the headlight group is fine-tuned. At the same time, the new Bora front bumper on both sides of the new C-shaped chromium plating decoration, and retain the front fog lamp, fog light source upgraded from halogen to LED.

The rear part of the car, the new Bora rear shape modification is not obvious, the main adjustment is concentrated in the lower part of the rear bumper chrome trim area. As a medium-term revamped model, the biggest change of the new Bora is in the power system, which abandons the 1.5L engine of the current Bora and offers only 1.2T and 1.4T engines. Where did Bora come from? Later, as FAW-Volkswagen introduced the fifth generation Jetta into China, and named it "Suiteng", Bora also became an independent car system under Suiteng. In 2008, Bora carried out its first upgrade, improved on the PQ34 platform, and cancelled the 1.8L model and replaced it with 1.6L and 2.0L. In 2012, Bora carried out its second generation, and its appearance was greatly changed for the first time, canceling the 2.0L engine and providing both 1.6T+6AT and 1.4T+DSG power. In 2018, Bora carried out its third generation, based on the Volkswagen MQB platform, and redesigned its appearance again, replacing the 1.6L engine with a 1.5L engine. This release model is the fourth generation Bora mid-term modification, the power aspect cancels the 1.5L engine, only provides 1.2T and 1.4T version.

The compact car market in which Bora is located is not only large but also competitive. According to the Federation of passengers, the compact car market sold a total of 1.459 million vehicles from January to April in 2022, accounting for 24.5% of the domestic passenger car market, second only to the compact SUV. From the perspective of competitive products, the potential competitors in the same joint venture brand compact hatchback camp with Bora are Lang Yi (10.09-159900 yuan), Xuanyi (9.98-174900 yuan), Carola (10.98-159800 yuan) and so on. In 2022, for example, Xuan Yi, Lei Ling and Lang Yi occupy the top three compact car sales list, although Bora achieved sales of 58826 vehicles, it only ranked eighth. With the launch of the new Bora, its production power has improved compared with the cash model, which may be able to drive its performance in the market, but the competitive pressure that the new Bora has to face is also increasing. According to previous reports, the medium-term revamped Lang Yi will also be available in the near future, in addition to the ordinary model, the new Lang Yi will also launch the Star version.
