In the preservation rate of luxury brands, the preservation rate of many luxury brands generally declined in May. In terms of specific breakdown, Porsche, Lexus and Mercedes-Benz ranked in the top three, with preservation rates of 93.5%, 89.2% and 74.7% respectively, all showing month-on-month declines. In addition to these three major brands, including BMW, Audi, Land Rover, Infiniti, Volvo and Jaguar also declined, only Cadillac, Acura and Tesla increased month-on-month, among which Tesla had a larger increase. Tesla's preservation rate was 56.0% in April. In May, it increased to 57.5%. It should be noted that Tesla's preservation rate is still low.

Toyota ranked first with a preservation rate of 78.7%, regaining the top spot, while Honda fell 0.4% to second place. But overall, with the exception of Toyota brands, the preservation rates of the top five brands all showed a downward trend. In addition, Volkswagen firmly ranked sixth, with the preservation rate unchanged, with Hyundai, Buick, Skoda and Chevrolet growing month-on-month. The ranking of the preservation rate of independent brands has also changed. The data show that the three-year preservation rate of the 15 independent brands listed in May is more than 60%, the highest preservation rate of Wuling is 69.8%, and the preservation rate of other independent brands is between 66.7% and 60.4%. Among them, the preservation rates of the main cost-effective brands, such as Wuling, Baojun and Qichen, decreased significantly, while the preservation rates of Harvard Motor, Changan Automobile, Lulai Motor, Roewe Motor, BYD Automobile, Red Flag Automobile and Chery Automobile all showed an increase. Among them, the preservation rate of NIO increased significantly compared with the previous month, with a preservation rate of 62.8% in May, entering the Top7 list of independent brands.
