From the patent diagram, the Polar 5 is very similar to the Polar Star Precept concept car, which was first unveiled in early 2020, and most of the design elements in the concept car are used in the production version. First of all, the rear door of the new car uses the traditional style instead of the opposite door style in the Precept concept car, while the traditional exterior rearview mirror appears on the side of the body, and the camera rearview mirror in the concept car is not retained. In the front part, Ji Xing 5 uses double-broken line LED daytime driving lights with more family identification, with dual-module far and near light groups, and only the trapezoidal grille is retained to ensure air intake demand.

From the side, the Star 5 is positioned with a four-door GT coupe, and the iconic slip-back roof has also been seen on traditional fuel cars such as the Audi A7. In addition, the mass production version will add high brake lights, while taillights and rear enclosures continue the design of the concept car. It is understood that the Polar 5 positioning medium-and large-scale sedan, the main competitors locked in Porsche Taycan and Tesla Model S top models, which means that its price is not cheap.

Polestar Polar Star is an electric car brand jointly founded by Volvo and Geely. At present, Polar Star Polestar has two products, Polestar 1 and Polestar 2, of which Polestar 2 is the first model to be delivered on a large scale. The car is based on Volvo CMA architecture. The single motor standard endurance version costs 258000 yuan, the single motor long endurance version costs 282800 yuan, and the dual motor long endurance version costs 338000 yuan.

According to the data, the cumulative global sales of Star cars were 29000 in 2021 and 13600 from January to April in 2022, although the official did not disclose the specific market performance. In the face of the slowdown in sales, Jixing began to lower its sales target. Previously, Polaris originally set a sales target of 65000 vehicles in 2022, but due to the epidemic and the supply of spare parts, it reduced its annual sales target to 50000.

At present, the only two models on sale are Polestar 1 and Polestar 2, but the sales performance is mediocre. In 2019, Polar launched the mainstream-oriented Polestar 2, which is positioned as a compact sedan, with a subsidised official guidance price of 257800-338000 yuan for the Standard Tesla entry-class Model 3, which officials hope to become the first "volume" model of the star. It is understood that Polestar 2 is built on the CMA architecture of Volvo cars and has certain advantages in technology, safety and design. However, this advantage not only did not form a good brand effect, but was recalled one after another because of product quality problems shortly after listing, resulting in a certain negative impact on products and brands.

According to previous revelations, Polar will launch three new models by 2024, namely the first SUV model of the Polar brand-the Polar 3, the two-door sedan Polar 4 and the large GT sedan Polar 5. According to the available information, Polestar 3 positioning in the large luxury pure electric SUV, the standard Porsche Cayenne is mixed, the mileage is expected to be more than 600km. It is understood that the Polestar 3 will become the first model made in both China and the United States, which is scheduled to be put into production in 2022, officially sold in 2023, and planned to sell 124000 vehicles by 2025.
