On June 6, LYRIQ Ruige, Cadillac's first electric car, officially announced its selling price. The new car is located in Pure Electric medium-sized SUV, with a total of three models, namely rear-drive long-range luxury version, rear-drive long-range premium version and four-wheel drive high-performance premium version. The vehicle price range is 43.97-479700 yuan. The new car is expected to be delivered in late September and will be sold by SAIC GM in China.

The new car is the first luxury all-electric SUV model built by Cadillac based on General Motors' Ultium electric platform. The Cadillac LYRIQ model was officially named "Ruige" in Chinese on May 16. In terms of appearance, the new car uses the latest Cadillac family design style, the front face part, the new car uses a large shield-shaped enclosed front grille, a number of radial LED light belts are added inside the grille, the middle is the glowing brand LOGO, and on both sides are large air intakes and two strips of LED daytime driving lights with vertical layout, the overall sense of technology is full.

On the side of the body, the new car uses a slip-back styling design, and is equipped with large-size rims, chrome decoration and touch-type hidden door handles. In the rear part, the lines of the new car are relatively simple, the taillights are designed in two groups, and the upper part adopts a penetrating design, which extends to the D column, which is very exaggerated in length and shape, while the Cadillac classic vertical light group mechanism is used at the bottom, which echoes with the daytime traffic lights on the front face, and the overall recognition is very high. In terms of body color, the new car offers a total of seven colors for consumers to choose from, including three specific colors.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car is 5003/1977/1637mm, the wheelbase is 3094mm, and the positioning is pure electricity medium and large SUV. For comparison, the length, width and height of the ES8 are 5022/1962/1756mm and the wheelbase is 3010mm.

In the interior part, the new car is mainly based on luxury, and four interior colors are introduced according to different configurations. The deluxe version uses space-time crystal ash and dark darkness. The distinguished version uses morning warm brown and night sky blue, equipped with a brand-new style steering wheel and a 33-inch curved OLED screen composed of central control screen and LCD dashboard, which integrates dashboard, infotainment, navigation, lighting control, air conditioning and other functions.

In terms of power, the new car adopts different parameters according to different configuration models, among which, the maximum power of the rear-drive long-range model is 255kW, the maximum torque is 440N ·m, the CLTC mileage is up to 650km and the premium version is 653 km; the four-wheel drive version is equipped with the front and rear two permanent magnet synchronous motors, the maximum power 375kW, the maximum torque of the motor is 710N ·m, and the CLTC mileage exceeds 600km.

In terms of the positioning and price of the new car, in terms of the current medium and large pure electric SUV market, the models of the same class as the new car include the Xilai ES8 (46.80-624000 yuan), Audi e-tron (54.68-648800 yuan), Audi Q5 e-tron (376500-479500 yuan) and BMW iX (74.69-996900 yuan), but the price is much higher than the new car. In terms of price, the competitors of the new car will mainly compete with ES8. Based on comparable model sales, the ES8 sold 1251 cars in April and the Audi e-tron sold 58. According to Cadillac's official announcement in May, the 2023 Cadillac LYRIQ has sold out in North America in just four hours. However, Cadillac LYRIQ Reege as a brand new model in the domestic luxury brand pure electric SUV market, it is impossible to predict how the market will perform after listing.
