1. From now on, some imported G70, G80 and GV80 cars with production dates from January 3, 2022 to February 22, 2022 will be recalled.

2. Alfa Romeo (Shanghai) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. has filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products. Since June 14, 2022, a total of 62 Juliet cars were partially imported from January 13, 2022 to April 11, 2022.

3. FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd. has filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the Administration of defective Automobile products recall and the measures for the implementation of defective Automobile products recall regulations. From now on, some imported Audi A8L series cars marked with production dates from January 7, 2022 to February 22, 2022 will be recalled, totaling 2206.

According to the recall announcement, the three major automobile brands recalled because "due to production reasons, the information on the production date on the vehicle nameplate and accompanying documents is inconsistent with the information on the vehicle identification number VIN indicating the year of the model".

The vehicle identification code, commonly known as "frame number" and "VIN" for short in English, is regarded as "the ID card of the car". A lot of important information can be obtained through the code. The frame number is the designated code given to a car by the automobile manufacturer for identification. It is arranged and combined according to the regulations, which is composed of 17 letters and numbers respectively. The frame number is generally located in the lower left corner of the front windshield, the main driver door hinge column, door lock post, door edge, etc., the specific location of different models will be different.

The most important thing for car owners is to see the production date of the vehicle from the frame number, the first letter or number of the body frame number (VIN) from left to right represents the country of manufacture of the vehicle, the 10th place of the frame number is the year of production of the vehicle, and the code of the year of production may be numeric or alphabetical, while the specific production month cannot be queried through the frame number. The vehicle identification code has strong versatility and uniqueness in the world, and any vehicle will not repeat the number within 30 years.

The announcement on the entry Verification Administration of imported Motor vehicle Identification number (VIN), which has been implemented since 2008, requires that the vehicle identification number (VIN) of imported motor vehicles must meet the requirements of the national mandatory standard "Road vehicle Identification Code (VIN)".

The announcement requires that before import, the holder of the compulsory product certification certificate (CCC certificate) or its authorized person may submit to the certification body that issues the CCC certificate the data of all motor vehicles VIN and relevant structural parameters to be imported for the record, and the certification body shall check the above data and report them to the General Administration of quality Inspection and Inspection and the State Accreditation Supervision Commission, so that the port inspection and quarantine agencies can verify the entry of imported motor vehicle products with VIN.

In theory, imported vehicles generally have to go through many steps, and there are not many cases of information registration errors. In view of the above defects, the relevant car brands will correct the vehicle nameplates and related accompanying documents free of charge for the vehicles within the scope of the recall. For vehicles that have already been registered, at the same time assist users to replace the new motor vehicle registration certificate.
