On June 12, a Porsche owner, Miss Xu, reported to the media that she spent 1.5 million yuan on a Porsche Paramera sports car. As a result, she was told to replace the rear bumper when she didn't get the car.

In November last year, Miss Xu ordered a Porsche Paramera sports car from the Porsche Center in Shaoxing. The car landed at about 1.5 million yuan and paid a 200000 deposit, according to the 1818 Golden Eye. In May this year, Miss Xu contacted the 4S store on the question of "when can I pick up the car". 4S responded that it had to wait because of the "post-guarantee upgrade" activity. Miss Xu originally thought that this "post-guarantee upgrade" activity was only a regular upgrade activity, so she didn't care very much at first. Until she inadvertently learned online that Porsche Palamera, which had quotas in January and February 2022, had a nationwide problem of rear bumper welding that did not meet the quality requirements. To replace the rear bumper, "it means that the new car has not yet been delivered, and if the car is not mentioned, the rear bumper will be replaced." Then, on this issue, Miss Xu contacted the 4S salesperson again and consulted about the relevant upgrade activities. The 4S store salesman responded that it was "rear bumper reinforcement", which belonged to the recall activity.

Zheng, manager of the marketing department of Shaoxing Porsche Center, provided an internal notification letter on the factory's official website and said that the internal notification letter could only be seen by dealers and could not be viewed by consumers. The internal notice shows that the welded joint on the rear bumper may not meet the required specifications on the affected vehicle, and the solution is to replace the rear bumper.

When asked whether it is a quality problem, 4S store made it clear that "no", this is a recall activity, there is not necessarily a quality problem. As for why there is no quality problem, the 4S store responded that the car has not yet arrived in the store, and it is not uncertain whether there is a problem with the rear bumper, but it will be recalled before the car is picked up to ensure that the hidden danger is eliminated. It also said: "We are in a serious and responsible attitude to help you deal with security risks."

Liu, manager of the sales department of the 4S store, pointed out that their so-called "post-guarantee upgrade" is to replace some parts, because the supporting things of the manufacturer have not yet arrived. In response to the statement given by the 4S store, Miss Xu believes that the seller should be informed in advance, rather than simply described as a "post-guaranteed upgrade", because "upgrade" is a replacement and replacement of different things, but when consulting the 400 phone number, the argument given is because the welding does not meet the specifications, so it is replaced with exactly the same thing, which is not "upgrade" at all, but "replacement, maintenance".

Miss Xu pointed out: she seems to have bought a used car and spent a high price on the car. The car has not yet mentioned the need to replace the rear bumper, so she cannot accept it. After all, this is very likely to be included in the maintenance record, so the request for return is put forward. Then, on the question of "whether maintenance records will be involved", the staff of Porsche's national customer service hotline replied that it would then verify and give the customer an answer. So far, the two sides have not reached an agreement.
