At present, the prices of entry-level and high-performance versions of domestic Model Y and domestic Model 3 remain unchanged for the time being.

In addition to price increases for some domestic models, just yesterday, topics related to "Tesla raised prices across the board in the United States" rushed into the hot search list of Weibo, with some models rising as much as $6000 (40200 yuan). According to Tesla's US official website, the price of the long-range version of Model 3 rose from $54490 to $57990, an increase of $2500; the long-range version of Model Y rose from $62990 to $65990, an increase of $3000; Model Y Performance rose from $67990 to $69990, an increase of $2,000. the price of Model S increased by $5, 000 and the price of Model X dual-motor all-wheel drive version increased by $6, 000.

According to the statistics of previous reports concerned by the automobile industry, since March this year, Tesla has raised the prices of some of his car companies to varying degrees. Among them, from March 10 to 17 this year, Tesla raised the prices of two domestic models three times in a row, with a price increase of 15060-30,000 yuan, of which the domestic Model Y high-performance version rose by 30,000 yuan. At the same time, there is also news today that in order to reduce car production costs, Tesla's Berlin factory is trying out Model Y with front cast body, and in the future Model Y will use front and rear cast body plus structural batteries to form a body chassis to further reduce welding process and car manufacturing costs, but this news has not yet been officially confirmed.

Although Tesla did not explain the price increase this time, it is not difficult to guess the reason for the price rise. Tesla adopts the mode of direct sales, which also means that the vehicle price adjustment reflects the actual situation of cost fluctuations, so it is expected that the price increase of Tesla vehicles may be related to the tight supply of raw materials in the current market and the rise in the price of raw materials for power batteries. According to statistics, from January to May this year, the cost of making lithium iron phosphate and ternary batteries, a key raw material for automobiles, has increased by 18% and 20% respectively, compared with 57% and 58% respectively in the same period last year. Relevant industry insiders pointed out: "taking into account such factors as soaring raw material prices, chip shortage, tight power battery supply and manpower shortage caused by the epidemic this year, price adjustment is an inevitable result."

The automotive industry is concerned about learning from Tesla's official website that at present, the longest delivery cycle of Tesla's new car in North America is one year, of which the Model Y model is expected to be delivered from January to April 2023, and Model X is expected to be delivered from May to June 2023. Tesla CEO Musk has made it clear that under the situation of shortage of parts and semiconductor chips, Tesla factory has been short of production capacity for several consecutive quarters. As for the delivery date of domestic models, according to Tesla's Chinese official website, the longest delivery cycle of domestic models Model 3 and Model Y is also 24 weeks (5.5 months), of which domestic Model 3 is expected to be 16-20 weeks (about 3.7-4.6 months). The delivery time of domestic Model Y is expected to be 10-14 weeks (about 2.3-3.2 months), that is, even if the domestic model is ordered now, it will take 2 to 3 months to mention the new car at the earliest.

Due to the closure and control measures imposed by the previous epidemic in Shanghai, Tesla's Shanghai factory suspended production from March 28 to April 18, and did not begin to resume production until April 19. according to Xin Guobin, vice minister of industry and information technology, at a series of news conferences on the theme of "this decade of China" held by the propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Tesla has achieved full capacity production so far.
