On June 17, the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration issued a recall notice for Beijing Hyundai Automobile. The latest announcement showed that Beijing Hyundai Automobile Co., Ltd. filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products, and decided to recall the following vehicles.

I. Since September 1,2022,25,039 all-new Shengda vehicles manufactured between August 18,2015 and July 27,2018 will be recalled. II. Since December 1,2022, a total of 180959 ix35 vehicles manufactured between August 11,2014 and December 28,2017 will be recalled.

‍According to the announcement, a short circuit may occur inside the hydraulic electronic control unit (HECU) of the brake system of some vehicles within the scope of this recall, which may lead to fire in the engine compartment in extreme cases, posing a safety hazard. In view of the above defects, Beijing Hyundai Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the fuses in the fuse boxes of vehicles within the scope of recall with fuses with lower capacity free of charge; if the internal short circuit of HECU causes the fuse to blow again, the HECU will be replaced free of charge for the user.

At the same time, there are the same potential safety hazards mentioned above. Hyundai Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. has also filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products. Since August 1,2022, some imported Hyundai GRAND SANTAFE vehicles manufactured from August 17,2015 to September 22,2016 have been recalled, totaling 1021 vehicles.

According to the attention of the automobile industry, Quanxin Shengda is a high-end medium-sized luxury SUV owned by Beijing Hyundai. It is also the first model of Beijing Hyundai to adopt 2.0-liter supercharged engine, which is equipped with 2.0T GDI supercharged engine and 2.4 GDI engine.

Hyundai ix35 is a compact SUV exclusive to Beijing Hyundai in the domestic market earlier. Hyundai ix35 was officially introduced into China in 2010. It was listed at Chengdu Auto Show on April 8 of the same year and launched two displacement models of 2.0L and 2.4L. There are two drive forms: two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. In 2013, Hyundai ix35 was officially launched, with a price range of 169,800 - 242,800 yuan. The car adopted Beijing Hyundai's new family design elements, and the whole front face changed, looking like a scaled-down version of the all-new Shengda.

The automobile industry pays close attention to browsing the detailed introduction of Hyundai ix35. It is found that consumers say that ix35 2.4L model is abnormal shortly after the new car is launched. In November 2010, some owners said that ix35 2.4L model only drove 5000km and found abnormal sound on the instrument panel. Later, they were told by 4S shop staff that the design problem belongs to common problem and cannot be solved so far. In addition, the recall mentioned above is not the first time Hyundai ix35 has been recalled. Beijing Hyundai Motor Co., Ltd. recalled some ix35 vehicles manufactured from April 9, 2010 to October 6, 2011, totaling 121835 vehicles. The main reasons for the recall are poor contact of brake pedal switch contacts of vehicles, delay of electrical signals, which may increase the probability of accidents and potential safety hazards. In response to this problem, Beijing Hyundai Motor Co., Ltd. replaced qualified brake pedal switches for vehicles within the scope of recall free of charge to eliminate potential safety hazards.
