From now on, recall some of the 2021 Rui Ji plug-in hybrid vehicles produced between December 2, 2020 and February 25, 2022, a total of 548 vehicles.

According to the recall announcement, the powertrain functional safety monitoring system of the vehicle within the scope of this recall can not deal with the software abnormalities related to the torque control of the drive motor. When the software is abnormal, the vehicle alarm light may be on; in extreme cases, the vehicle may accelerate, slow down or move unexpectedly, increasing the risk of collision and causing safety risks. In view of the above defects, Changan Ford Motor Co., Ltd. will update the powertrain control module software for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge through Changan Ford authorized dealers to eliminate safety risks.

It is understood that the Ford Ruiji is a compact car owned by Changan Ford, which was introduced to the market in December 2019. The model currently on sale is the 2020 model, with a price range of 16.98-218800 yuan. In terms of power, Ford Ruiji is equipped with 2.0T turbocharged engine, maximum power 248Ps, peak torque 393N ·m, transmission system matching 8AT gearbox. The recall is the PHEV version of Ford Ruiji, which was officially launched in June 2021 and only one model was launched at a price of 210000 yuan. In terms of power, Ford Ruiji PHEV built a plug-in hybrid system composed of 1.5T three-cylinder engine and motor, code-named CAF384WQ2P, with maximum engine power 125kw and motor maximum power 96kw, matched with ECVT gearbox.

According to the data, the wholesale sales of Changan Ford in 2020 was 253000 vehicles, an increase of 37.7% over the same period last year. This is the first year-on-year growth of Changan Ford since 2017, in which Ford Ruiji contributed, with its total annual sales of 35488 vehicles. It has become the best-selling model of Changan Ford. In this context, Changan Ford launched the PHEV model on the basis of Ruiji fuel car, in order to further expand the sales performance of Ruiji, but the actual market performance is surprising, because it is equipped with 1.5T three-cylinder engine + electric vehicle plug-in hybrid system, while the advantages of the joint venture plug-in hybrid model itself is not great, sales remain low after listing. Data show that Changan Ford wholesale sales of 305000 vehicles in 2021, an increase of 20.29% over the same period last year, including Ruiji PHEV cumulative sales of 348 vehicles, January-May 2022 cumulative sales of 176 vehicles, which is almost all its sales since its listing!
