From the basic point of view, the power output of Volkswagen 1.5T EVO2 engine has less room for improvement than 1.4T, but it adopts more advanced technology and has better economic performance. It is understood that Volkswagen 1.5T EVO2 engine for the first time used VTG technology, that is, variable cross-section turbocharger, this technology can make the engine in low speed, form a greater "thrust" to promote turbine rotation, better curb turbine hysteresis; at high speed, as the exhaust pressure increases, the angle of the guide vane also follows to the maximum, to achieve the ideal turbocharging effect. In addition, although the power performance of this 1.5T engine is very limited compared with the current 1.4T engine, there is a certain improvement in fuel economy.

It is understood that the Volkswagen 1.5T EVO2 engine may be the last Volkswagen engine in the fuel vehicle field, gradually replacing the 1.4T model sold by the Volkswagen brand. At present, the models with 1.4T engine include Golf, Maiteng, Suiteng, T-ROC, Sawyer, Bora and so on. The first model with this engine is Volkswagen Suiteng, and the new car will provide 1.2T, 1.4T and 1.5T power versions for consumers to choose from.

On June 1, the new FAW-Volkswagen Suiteng model officially opened for pre-sale, with a pre-sale price range of 12.79-172900 yuan, becoming the first model of the Volkswagen brand with a 1.5T EA211 EVO engine.

As a medium-term modified model, the new Suiteng is mainly aimed at adjusting the appearance and interior, the forward air grille has been changed from the original linear type to the dot matrix intake grille, and the internal structure of the headlamp cavity has been redesigned. The front fog lamp and the front enclosure are scaled down. In the rear part, the internal structure has been adjusted, and the chrome decoration of bilateral exhaust has been added to the new car. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4791/1801/1465mm, the wheelbase is 2731mm, the width and height and wheelbase are the same as the current model, but the length has increased, and it is expected to have a better experience in space.

In terms of interior decoration, the new Suiteng is equipped with a new style of 12-inch suspended central control screen, which is significantly larger than the maximum 9.2-inch embedded screen. At the same time, the new car is equipped with a brand new three-spoke steering wheel, which is also the current family design of the Volkswagen brand. In addition, the new Suiteng high-end model continues to be equipped with touch air-conditioning panels and full LCD dashboards, and the seat style is replaced by a mesh texture design, which looks very textured.

As a medium-term revamped model, the new car carries the EA211 1.5T EVO engine for the first time on the basis of the current 1.2T and 1.4T four-cylinder engines. Specifically, the maximum power of 1.2T and 1.4T is 116 horsepower and 150 horsepower respectively, and the peak torque of 1.2T is 175N m and 200N m, respectively, which is matched by a five-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dry double-clutch gearbox with a peak torque of 250N / m at 1.4T, and a seven-speed dry double-clutch gearbox. In addition to the above two engines, the new Suiteng is equipped with an EA211 1.5T EVO engine for the first time, which has a rated power of 160hp and a peak torque of 250N ·m, which is still matched by a seven-speed dry double-clutch transmission.

Compared with the 2022 Suiteng, the new Suiteng adds 1.5T power on the basis of 1.2T and 1.4T power, with 5 optional models, 2 fewer than 2022 models. Specifically, the new Suiteng 1.2T model cancels two over-the-top models, while the prices of the retained two overflight models are both down. As an A + class sedan, its potential competitors include Mazda 3 Uncaila, Toyota Asia Lion / Ling Shang, Honda Civic hatchback version, Kia K5 and other models. According to the data, the retail volume of Suiteng was 19638 vehicles in May, with a cumulative retail volume of 87069 vehicles from January to May.
