At the 2022 Chongqing Auto Show, Changan Deep Blue SL03, the first new energy vehicle under its brand, was officially unveiled and pre-sold. The pre-sale price of the new car is between 17.98 yuan and 231800 yuan. It is understood that this pre-sale model is the pure electric version and extended range version of Deep Blue SL03, after which Changan Automobile will also launch a hydrogen fuel cell version. The new car is expected to be available by July 30 and delivered in August.

According to the concern of the automobile industry, Changan Deep Blue SL03 is the first model after the launch of Changan Deep Blue Brand, which is based on Changan's new EPA1 pure electric platform. It provides three versions of pure electric version, extended range version and hydrogen electric version, and is positioned as a medium-sized car. The new car was first released on August 24, 2021 and appeared in Volkswagen's field of vision with the internal code name "C385". On May 13 this year, Changan Automobile officially announced its new brand Changan Deep Blue LOGO, and confirmed that the new model "C385" was named after "Changan Deep Blue SL03".

As the first model of the new brand created by Changan Automobile, in terms of appearance, the new car adopts a new design style, the overall shape is very novel and highly recognizable. The new car adopts the iconic closed grille front face shape of the new energy car, with the popular split headlamp group design on both sides. The most dazzling is that the front face of the new car is also hung with a triangular cone made up of three triangular planes in the middle of the LOGO, which makes the whole front face look particularly sharp.

On the side of the body, the new car uses a hatchback rear door design, as well as a hidden door handle, and the four rims are all designed with low wind resistance. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car is 4820/1890/1480mm, the wheelbase is 2900mm, and the position is a medium-sized car. For comparison, Tesla Model 3 has a length, width and height of 4694/1850/1443mm and a wheelbase of 2875mm, while a BYD seal has a length, width and height of 4800/1875/1460mm and a wheelbase of 2920mm. From the body size, the new car is comparable to BYD Seal.

In the rear part of the car, the new car uses a penetrating taillight, which has a high degree of recognition after lighting. The rear enclosure of the new car is equipped with rear diffuser decoration and two-stage fixed spoiler, the overall partial movement style.

In the interior part, the overall design of the new car is relatively simple, mainly black as the main color, with silver embellishment. In terms of configuration, the new car is equipped with a large central suspension screen, a full liquid crystal dashboard and a double-spoke multi-function steering wheel.

Power is the biggest highlight of the new car, the new car uses a variety of different forms of drive system, including pure electric, extended range version and hydrogen electric version. Among them, the pure electric version provides two motor versions, 160kW and 190kW, which match the battery packs of different capacity, and the comprehensive mileage of the extended version is 515km and 712km respectively; the extended version is equipped with a drive system based on 1.5L engine and motor, and the comprehensive mileage of the system is 1200km under pure electric mode under the condition of 200km; also under the CLTC condition, the range of the hydrogen version can reach 700km.

In terms of market competition, from the domestic pure electric car market, including Tesla Model 3, BYD Seal and other models are currently one of the main sales models in the market, after the new car is listed, it is expected that Tesla Model 3 (vehicle price is 29.09-367900 yuan), BYD Seal (vehicle price is 21.28-289800 yuan) and other models become competitors, but from the pre-price of the new car, the new car is more advantageous.

According to the investor relations activity record table, at present, Changan Deep Blue brand has planned a total of five new models, of which SL03 and C673 will be launched within this year. With the expansion of Changan Shenzhen Blue sub-brand and the launch of new cars, Changan Automobile's product rectangle will be further improved. According to the product layout of Changan Automobile, Changan Automobile will launch eight new products this year, including the listed Changan LUMIN, Changan Deep Blue SL03 and Avita 11 and so on. In the future, Changan New Energy will rely on EPA architecture to create entry-level, middle-and high-end products, among which the entry-level brand Changan LUMIN first model waxy corn has been listed not long ago, the new car is based on Changan EPA0 platform, positioning pure electric mini car, the vehicle price is 4.89-63900 yuan; the main high-end market is the Avita brand, the first model Avita 11 positioning medium-sized pure electric SUV The main target in the high-end market is the deep blue brand, which will target the high-end pure electric vehicle market of 15-300000 yuan.

For this year's annual sales target, Changan Automobile has been set at 2.45 million units. From January to May this year, Changan Automobile sold a total of 918300 vehicles, meeting 38 per cent of the total production and sales target for the whole year. As for the longer-term sales plan, Zhu Huarong, party secretary and chairman of Changan Automobile, has announced that Changan Automobile plans to sell 1.05 million new energy vehicles by 2025, accounting for 35% of new car sales; annual sales of 2.7 million vehicles by 2030, accounting for 60% of new car sales.
