As a mid-term revamped model of the fourth generation, the new Bora mainly adjusts the appearance details. On the basis of maintaining a single banner chrome strip, the banner grille of the China net becomes thicker, weakens the vertical grille, and is more concise and younger. At the same time, the frame style of the front grille headlight group of the new model has also been changed, the frame has been thickened to maintain the same thickness as the banner grille of the medium net, C-shaped chrome plating decoration has been added on both sides of the front bumper, and the front fog lamp has been retained, and the fog light source has been upgraded from halogen to LED.

In the rear part, the taillight style is designed in layers, upgraded to IQ.LIGHT matrix LED lamp group, the reversing lamp is changed from unilateral lighting to bilateral lighting, and the chrome decoration of the rear bumper is also adjusted to no longer focus on decoration exhaust. In terms of interior, the new Bora also uses a new suspended central control screen (12 inches) and a full LCD dashboard (10.25 inches), and is replaced with the Volkswagen family's latest three-spoke multi-function steering wheel. As a medium-term revamped model, the biggest change of the new Bora is in the power system, which abandons the 1.5L engine of the current Bora and offers only 1.2T and 1.4T engines. The maximum power of 1.2T turbocharged engine 116Ps (85kw), maximum torque 200N ·m, 1.4T turbocharged engine, maximum power 150Ps (110kw), maximum torque 250N ·m. In terms of transmission system, they all match 7-speed dry double clutch gearbox.

As the third generation mid-term modified model, the new Suiteng is mainly aimed at adjusting the appearance and interior, the forward air grille has been changed from the original linear type to the dot matrix intake grille, the internal structure of the headlamp cavity has been redesigned, the front fog lamp and the front enclosure have done a scalable treatment, and the IQ.LIGHT logo has been added inside the lamp group. In the rear part, the internal structure has been adjusted, and the chrome decoration of bilateral exhaust has been added to the new car. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4791/1801/1465mm and the wheelbase is 2731mm.

In terms of interior decoration, the new Suiteng is equipped with a new style of 12-inch suspended central control screen, which is significantly larger than the maximum 9.2-inch embedded screen. At the same time, the new car is equipped with a brand new three-spoke steering wheel, which is also the current family design of the Volkswagen brand. In addition, the new Suiteng high-end model continues to be equipped with touch air-conditioning panels and full LCD dashboards, and the seat style is replaced by a mesh texture design, which looks very textured.

As a medium-term revamped model, the new car carries the EA211 1.5T EVO engine for the first time on the basis of the current 1.2T and 1.4T four-cylinder engines. Specifically, the maximum power of 1.2T and 1.4T is 116 horsepower and 150 horsepower respectively, and the peak torque of 1.2T is 175N m and 200N m, respectively, which is matched by a five-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dry double-clutch gearbox with a peak torque of 250N / m at 1.4T, and a seven-speed dry double-clutch gearbox. Bora and Suiteng two models are very interesting! In 2001, FAW-Volkswagen introduced the fourth generation Jetta into China, and named it "Bora". In 2006, FAW-Volkswagen introduced the fifth generation Jetta into China, and named it "Suiteng".

In October 2008, the second generation of Bora was officially launched, and the new car was improved based on the PQ34 platform, replacing 1.8L engines with 1.6L and 2.0L engines. Both Bora and Suiteng are positioned as compact cars, but Suiteng is more advanced by comparison. From the perspective of competitive products, the potential competitors in the same joint venture brand compact hatchback camp with Bora are Lang Yi (10.09-159900 yuan), Xuanyi (9.98-174900 yuan), Carola (10.98-159800 yuan) and so on. In 2022, for example, Xuan Yi, Lei Ling and Lang Yi occupy the top three compact car sales list, although Bora achieved sales of 58826 vehicles, it only ranked eighth. As an A + class sedan, Suiteng's potential competitors include Mazda 3 Uncaila, Toyota Asia Lion / Ling Shang, Honda Civic hatchback version, Kia K5 and other models. With the medium-term modified model on the market, compared with the cash model, its production power has been improved, which may be able to drive its performance in the market, but the competitive pressure of the new car is also increasing. A few days ago, the medium-term revamped Lang Yi has also been on the market. In addition to the ordinary model, the new Lang Yi will also launch the Star version, which costs 12.09-150900 yuan for the ordinary version and 13.09-150900 yuan for the Star version.
