In terms of appearance, the new car uses Nissan's latest V-motion design language, thousands of cars still use "V-type" front grille plus "V-type" chrome-plated mesh design, headlight group adopts split design, fuses with front grille to form an integrated shape, the front enclosure uses trapezoidal heat dissipation openings and sturdy front lips, and there are quadrilateral fog lamp groups on both sides. Among the three major Japanese automakers, Toyota and Honda have successively launched hybrid models by joint ventures, but Dongfeng Nissan has been slow to act and does not seem to be interested in hybrid models. Actually, it's not. In Japan's home market, Nissan launched its first hybrid model, the NOTE e-POWER, as early as 2016, and its sales even surpassed that of the Toyota Prius. However, when Toyota and Honda began to introduce hybrid models into China on a large scale, Nissan did not introduce e-POWER technology into China and still relied on fuel vehicles to maintain market balance. Until the 2021 Guangzhou Auto Show, the Xuanyi e-POWER, Dongfeng Nissan's first e-POWER hybrid model, was officially on the market, with a price range of 13.89 to 155900 yuan. As a hybrid model, the Xuanyi e-POWER is consistent with the fuel car in appearance and uses different techniques in detail. For example, the middle mesh shape in the front grille looks quite electric. In terms of power, the Xuanyi e-POWER is composed of a 1.2L three-cylinder engine and a motor, with a comprehensive maximum power 100kw and a maximum torque of 300N ·m. The latest data show that Xuanyi e-POWER accumulated wholesale sales of 12072 vehicles in the first half of 2022.

On March 8, Nissan released the official chart of Haoke e-POWER, which is basically the same as the new generation of Haoke e-POWER in appearance, only different in some details. In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 1.5T three-cylinder turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 156 horsepower. According to media reports, the future Xiaoke e-POWER may be introduced into China, but a new generation of overseas Xiaoke has been released for more than a year, while there has been no news of the domestic version.

Looking at the current new energy vehicle market, it includes nothing more than pure electric, gas-electric hybrid, plug-in hybrid and plug-in hybrid, then which kind of e-POWER belongs to? Like the current new energy models, the powertrain of e-POWER technology is composed of engines, motors, batteries and inverters. E-POWER technology is similar to add-on hybrid, its engine does not directly participate in driving the wheel, but generates electricity from the engine and then drives the vehicle through the motor. The essential difference from the add-on hybrid is that the battery capacity of the e-POWER technology is relatively smaller, does not need to take up too much space in the car, and reduces the cost of building the car. In addition, compared with models equipped with add-on hybrid technology, e-POWER technology does not support independent charging.

From the existing information, domestic Qijun carrying e-POWER is a sure thing, as to whether this model can save the precarious Qijun, may be very slim. Since the launch of the new generation of Qijun, sales have continued to slump due to three-cylinder engines, with cumulative sales of only 4368 vehicles in the first half, compared with 68953 for the Japanese RAV4 and 108248 for the Honda CR-V. As for the price, the price of the Qijun equipped with e-POWER technology will be significantly higher than that of the fuel version, and the current price of the new generation of Qijun is 18.19-262900 yuan, which is expected to start at 200000 yuan.
