Last year, Changan Lai was "successful hand in hand". On August 17, 2018, it announced the establishment of Changan Lulai New Energy vehicle Technology Co., Ltd., a joint venture with Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd., which is located in Nanjing Jiangning Development Zone.

At the time, Xilai said that Changan and Lulai each held 45% of the shares in the joint venture, and the other 10% would be held by management. According to industrial and commercial information, Changan Ulai was founded on July 10, 2018, with a registered capital of 98 million yuan. Data show that up to December 31, 2018, a total of 11348 vehicles were delivered to the original version of Xilai ES8, of which the monthly delivery volume in November and December 2018 exceeded three years. Li Bin also said on the program that he never worried about the delivery and mass production of NIO, only that he could not sell it. The real difficulty is whether you can serve well and guarantee the continuous sales of the car.

The biggest difference between Xilai and traditional car companies is that it provides a large number of services, such as power-up service, power station change service, etc., and has opened 12 centers and 9 experience stores in 19 major cities in China. Last month, NIO also completed the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao high-speed power exchange network with a total length of about 2285 kilometers. A total of 18 power stations are distributed on the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao highway, which can be said to be an initiative in the infrastructure of electric vehicles in China, and more than 100 power stations have been put into operation nationwide. In terms of service, NIO is indeed more attentive than traditional car companies, whether it is to "power up with one button" or "to change power stations", it can be said that the future is ahead of many domestic car companies.

And in mass production delivery, NIO is indeed in the forefront of many new forces. However, after nearly half a year on the market, ES8 also made headlines due to a series of electronic software system failures and shrinking battery life, and was even rated as a "semi-finished product" by well-known car reviewers at 38 points.
