On July 31st, a new generation of Honda XR-V was officially unveiled, with a new appearance and interior design that makes the car look more stylish and younger. As a replacement, the new Honda XR-V has a redesigned appearance, with a large hexagonal front grille supplemented by dot-matrix chrome plating, blackened headlights on both sides and through air intakes below to make the new car look more sporty. In addition, the new car also adds a "waveform" element to the chrome strip on the left side of the air intake under the grille to further enhance its personality.

The side of the car body, the biggest feature is the use of slip-back design, the side waistline runs through the front wing panel to the taillight position, the shape is relatively strong. As for the rear part of the car is similar to the Honda U-RV, the taillight uses a penetrating design, the smoked taillight runs through the LOGO, and uses a hidden exhaust layout. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new XR-V are 4380/1790/1590mm, and the wheelbase is 2610mm. Compared with the cash, the length and width are increased, and the wheelbase remains unchanged.

In terms of interior decoration, the car interior of this appearance uses an orange + black collision color design, with a number of smoked black trimmings in the interior to make the car look younger. Specifically, the new car uses a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, with a suspended 9-inch central LCD screen (built in a newly upgraded Honda SENSING security super sense and Honda CONNECT 3.0 intelligence guidance interconnection system) under the knob control unit, through air outlet and floating central control screen, which is similar to the 11th generation Honda Civic.

In terms of power, the new XR-V is equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, the maximum net power 91kw, and the transmission system matches the CVT gearbox. It is worth mentioning that the overseas version of Qianzhi launched the fuel version and the hybrid version, with reference to the hybrid version of Dongfeng Honda's current models, so the possibility of a new hybrid version of the new XR-V cannot be ruled out.

Data show that the Honda VEZEL is a small SUV under Honda, and the domestic version corresponds to Guangzhou Automobile Honda Color Chi and Dongfeng Honda XR-V. Among them, colorful Intelligence was officially launched in October 2014. it is the first SUV under GAC Honda, the third Honda global model introduced after Accord and Feido, and one of the three best-selling models under GAC Honda. As for the XR-V, which is the product of Honda's two-car strategy and is a sister to Guangzhou Auto Honda Honda, it was launched on November 18, 2014 and is powered by a 1.8L+6 speed manual and 1.5L+CVT gearbox.

In February 2021, Honda released a new generation of VEZEL in Japan, the new generation of VEZEL provides two different modeling styles, the front grille uses hexagonal design, but the grille uses chromium-plated strip and dot matrix design respectively, while Honda VEZEL corresponds to Guangzhou Honda colorful wisdom and Dongfeng Honda XR-V, the new XR-V front face uses dot matrix design, and the new colorful wisdom uses chrome strip to decorate the front face.

Honda colorful Intelligence has always been regarded as the benchmark product of small SUV, and its domestic sales also confirm this view. Take the sales in the first half of 2022 as an example. In the small SUV market, Guangzhou Automobile Honda's colorful Intelligence and Dongfeng Honda XR-V sales were 72811 and 68503 respectively, making it the undisputed leader in the small SUV, followed by the Nezha V of the new power brand, with sales of 41387 vehicles. By contrast, Guangzhou Auto Toyota C-HR and FAW Toyota Yize sold only 12636 and 9772 vehicles, while Dongfeng Nissan sold only 6156 vehicles, which is not the same class at all.

At the beginning of this year, a new car plan of Dongfeng Honda in 2022 was revealed. According to the exposure map, the new car planning comes from the internal training materials of a Dongfeng Honda dealer. Dongfeng Honda plans to launch a number of new models in 2022, including the new Civic, the new Civic hybrid version, the new Civic HATCHBACK, the new Civic TYPE R, the new generation XR-V, the new generation CR-V, the new pure electric e:NS1 and a brand new SUV model, totaling 8 models, which can be called the product year of Dongfeng Honda. So far, including Civic HATCHBACK, new Civic TYPE R, new generation XR-V, new generation CR-V, HR-V are not on the market, the above models will be launched in the second half of the year.
