According to the published list, the top 10 models with the most complaints are mainly from independent brands, including BYD Song Pro New Energy / Dolphin, Song PLUS New Energy, Geely Xinrui, Geometry EX3 Kung Fu Bull, Geely Xue L, etc., while the joint venture models are mainly from brilliance BMW's 5-Series and X3 models.

In terms of specific models, the model with the highest number of complaints in July was BYD Song Pro New Energy, which ranked first on the monthly complaint list for the first time in history, with a total of 648 complaints in that month. the main problems of complaints were non-contract delivery, sales fraud, battery failure, etc., and the more serious complaint was non-contract delivery. In addition to Song Pro New Energy, the main complaint of Dolphin and Song PLUS New Energy is also non-delivery.

At present, BYD is the largest manufacturer of new energy vehicles in China and the largest manufacturer of new energy vehicles in the world. It has production bases in Shenzhen, Xi'an, Changsha, Changzhou, Fuzhou and other places, but even so, BYD products are still in short supply in the market. According to the data, BYD produced a total of 644700 new energy passenger vehicles in the first half of the year, an increase of 321.87% over the same period last year, and sales of new energy passenger vehicles totaled 638200, an increase of 324.84% over the same period last year.

In addition to BYD, Geometry's Kung Fu Niu EX3 model has also been complained by users for "failure to deliver as promised". Data show that Geometry is Geely's pure electric brand, a first-class sub-brand in parallel with Geely and Lock. At present, its models on sale include Geometry A Pro, Geometry C and Geometry EX3 Kung Fu Niu, among which Geometry EX3 Kung Fu Niu officially went on sale in November 2021, with a price range of 5.88-68800 yuan. After 2022, the price will be raised due to the rise in raw material prices. At present, the price range is 6.88-78800 yuan, which is the lowest price product under Geometry Motors, and its delivery speed is obviously slower than other models.

As for the joint venture brand, it is mainly occupied by the 5-Series and X3 of brilliance BMW, and consumer complaints against brilliance BMW have also been reported many times, but so far they have not been resolved, mainly about sales fraud and burning oil.

About sales fraud. It is understood that the 2020 BMW 5-Series, 2020 630i and 2020-2021 X3 matching systems sold by BMW lack the functions of remote upgrade and voice control described in the owner's manual. This problem has also appeared in many other BMW models, but so far, BMW officials have not given car owners a reasonable explanation for the problem.

In addition to engine problems, BMW has a relatively high number of complaints about oil burning, which also covers BMW's 3-Series, 5-Series, X3, X4 and other best-selling models. According to the owner of BMW, the BMW 325li sports model was purchased in April 2020. In July 2021, in the course of driving, a sudden alarm was given to the lack of lifting oil, and the owner immediately drove the vehicle to the 4S store for repair and maintenance. in the process of replacing the spark plug, the owner observed traces of oil leakage on the spark plug. and suspected of oil leakage in his engine. Subsequently, the 4S store replaced the valve cover for the vehicle, and after confirming that there was no problem, the owner of the car relieved to drive the car home. However, only half a year later, during the third maintenance in February 2022, the owner once again found that the car was burning engine oil, and the amount of engine oil left was only 1 stroke 4 of the standard value, while there were obvious oil residues and carbon deposits on the spark plug. The 4S store explained that the carbon deposition and oil residue on the spark plug was caused by the failure to clean the valve cover the last time it was replaced, and claimed that engine oil consumption was normal. Confusingly, the 4S store filled the car's engine with 5.75L oil, which was a full 0.5L higher than the second filling. In response to the oil burning problem, BMW did not admit that the engine burned oil, but consumers were obviously dissatisfied with its response, so complaints are still increasing.

To some extent, the complaint list reflects the disclosure of product problems, but it does not mean that all car owners will encounter similar problems, which can provide some reference value for consumers to buy cars. The automobile industry is concerned that the models with more complaints listed this time, including Hanlanda, Crown-Lufang, BMW 3-Series, BMW 5-Series and so on, are all models with a strong sense of existence in the market, and the sales situation in the market is not bad. It is also a priority for consumers to choose the same-class products. Of course, for example, BYD's models have been complained of "non-delivery", which may not be a big problem, this problem will be alleviated soon after capacity expansion, as for other problems, manufacturers still need to give some attention.
