On August 5, SAIC Roewe's new third-generation Roewe RX5 and superhybrid eRX5 models were officially launched, of which the fuel version of Roewe RX5 launched a total of six models with a price range of 11.79-155900 yuan, which was 7000 yuan lower than the previous price; the new Roewe superhybrid eRX5 launched a total of three models with a price range of 15.39-165900 yuan.

According to the concern of the automobile industry, the RX5 model on the market is the third generation of the car, and it is the first model based on the "Everest" structure. In terms of appearance, the new car uses a brand-new design language of the Roewe family, with a large front grille on the front face and a Phoenix feather element on the interior, making it more spacious in visual effect. The long and narrow matrix LED headlamps are arranged on both sides, and connected with the through light belt, with the dot matrix light source below, the overall front face shape is relatively sharp.

On the side of the body, the new car adopts the design style of double waistline, the line is smooth, and the waistline extends from the front to the rear to further enhance the visual length of the whole car. The popular hidden door handle also appears in the new car with large sports rims. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4655, 1890 and 1655 (1664) mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2765mm. In the rear part, the new car uses a through taillight group, the Roewe brand LOGO is embedded in the through lights, and the bottom is equipped with two bilateral exhaust vents.

In the interior part, the overall design of the new car is relatively simple, and the biggest highlight of the new car interior is equipped with a 27-inch sliding central control screen, a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a crystal electronic shift mechanism.

In terms of power, the fuel version of the new car is equipped with a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 188 horsepower. In terms of transmission, it is matched by a 7-speed wet double clutch; the hybrid version is equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 138 kilowatts. The maximum power of the drive motor is 180 kilowatts.

In terms of market competition, considering the positioning and price of the new car, the new Roewe RX5 will compete with Harvard H6, Changan CS75 PLUS, GAC MOTOR GS4 and other models, while the new Roewe eRX5 will compete with the Biya Dison family, Macchidot DHT-PHEV and other models.

Data show that the first generation Roewe RX5 was launched in 2016, the car is equipped with 2.0T and 1.5T in-cylinder direct injection turbocharged engines, of which 2.0T engine maximum power 220hp, peak torque 350Nm, 100km comprehensive fuel consumption lowest 8.1L / 1.5T engine maximum power 169hp, peak torque 250Nm, 100km comprehensive fuel consumption only 6.8L. In May 2020, Roewe RX5 4G interconnected million models officially launched, a total of two new models, the price range of 9.98-119800 yuan. The brand-new model launched this time is the third generation of the model.

According to SAIC Roewe's official website, SAIC Roewe's new energy products include pure electric vehicles such as Collaway, Ei5, i6 MAX EV and plug-in hybrid ei6 MAX, RX5 eMAX and RX5e PLUS. According to the FIFA data, the new energy vehicle with the highest sales in 2021 is the Collaway, with 49845 vehicles sold in the whole year, followed by the Roewe eRX5 with a cumulative sales of 20455 vehicles in 2021, and the Roewe Ei5 with 16640 vehicles. Figures for the first half of this year showed that the Roewe RX5 sold 38603 vehicles, while the Roewe eRX5 sold 3403 vehicles.
