Today, a group of pictures of Harvard's third-generation H6 DHT real car have been exposed online. Previously, the new car declaration chart has appeared in the declaration catalogue of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the new car is expected to go on sale in the third quarter of this year.

According to the declaration chart of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in terms of appearance, the new car design is basically consistent with the fuel version. The front face of the new car is designed with a large hexagonal middle net, and the interior is decorated with a grid, with sharp headlights on both sides. On the side of the body, the new car adopts double waistline design. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4653/1886/1730mm and the wheelbase is 2735mm. In the rear part, the new car adopts through-type taillight design, which is combined with the spot-shaped light belt on both sides, and the recognition degree is higher after lighting. There is a DHT logo at the bottom of the rear, which is distinct from the fuel version.

On the power side, according to previous news, the Harvard H6 DHT will be equipped with a hybrid system based on a 1.5T engine and motor, an L2 autopilot system, and 22 autopilot functions, including integrated automatic parking (IAP), automatic reversing assist system (ARA) and intelligent evasion system (WDS).

Harvard is a subsidiary of the Great Wall brand, which was established on March 29, 2013. Its models include Harvard H6, Harvard M6, Harvard F7, Harvard Dog and so on. Harvard H6 is the main model of the Harvard brand and is known as the "national magic car". At present, the Harvard H6 has developed to the third generation model. The first-generation model went on sale on August 25, 2011. in December of the same year, Harvard H6 won the "SUV of China 2012" award and became the only SUV model in China to sell more than 30, 000 vehicles a month by October 2014. Data show that Harvard H6 sales from 2011 to 2014 were 112262, 217889 and 315881, respectively.

Harvard's new H6 was officially launched at the Shanghai Auto Show on April 19, 2017. the new car launched a total of six models with two powers, with a price range of 11.88 yuan to 146800 yuan. The new car basically continues the cash design style, the biggest change lies in the increase of 2.0T+7 speed double clutch powertrain. The second generation Harvard H6 went on sale on August 10, 2020, with a price of RMB 9.8-141000. The overall change of the new car is little, but it has been re-optimized in terms of appearance and interior. Data show that Harvard H6 sales from 2017 to 2019 were 580683, 506418, 452552 and 386405, respectively.

The third-generation Harvard H6, which went on sale in Beijing on August 30th, is currently priced at RMB 9.89-157000. It is equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged GW4B15A engine with a maximum power of 169hp, peak torque of 285Nm and a seven-gear double-clutch gearbox. From 2020 to 2021, Harvard H6 sales were 376864 and 370438 respectively, ranking first among Harvard brand models.

After entering 2022, Harvard H6 is facing great pressure due to the changing environment of the car market and the intensification of competition. Public data show that in the first half of this year, Harvard brand sales totaled 288900 vehicles, down 26.21% from the same period last year, of which Harvard H6 retail sales totaled 123496, ranking third on the SUV list, and was overtaken by Honda CR-V, BYD Song, Tesla Model Y and other models in the first half of the year. For comparison, BYD Song sold 162573 vehicles in the first half of the year; Tesla Model Y 133666, Changan CS75 PLUS 111594 and Honda CR-V 108248. With the launch of Harvard's third-generation H6 DHT will improve its product structure, it remains to be seen whether the launch of the new car will help Harvard H6 sales to a higher level.
