As the first model of FAW Hongqi L series, the new car can be called the oriental version of Rolls-Royce Curinan. The windows and door handles of the new car are decorated with chrome plating. The red flag on the front fender further increases the recognition of the vehicle and echoes with the front face, while the logo "sunflower" on the wheels can only be seen on the L car system. "Sunflower" is the symbol of the Red Flag premium car. The application of this element in the new car also emphasizes the supreme status to some extent. In the rear part, the new car is decorated with through-type taillights and chrome-plated decorative strips. The hollowed-out taillights on both sides resemble the sunflower logo and have a higher degree of recognition after lighting. At the same time, the top of the new car is equipped with a large roof spoiler, the lower enclosure is also equipped with chrome trim to enhance the visual width of the vehicle, and the exhaust adopts a hidden design.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 5695/2095/1985mm, wheelbase 3309mm, positioning large SUV, which is one of the largest SUV on the market. In terms of size, the new car is bigger than full-size SUV such as Lincoln navigator, Rolls-Royce Curinan and BMW X7. In terms of material, the new car uses a large number of wooden panels and leather wrapped with gold edge decoration, the overall tone is mainly dark brown, showing a "high-grade gas" flavor as a whole. In terms of seat layout, the elegant flag navigation version of the new car has a 6-seat layout of 2'2' 2, and the flagship version of the Reverend has a 4-seat layout of 2'2. The new car has two separate seats in the back row and also uses a large number of mahogany and leather packages.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a self-developed 4.0T V8 turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 265kW and a maximum torque of 500Nm. The official 0-100km/h acceleration time is 9.1s and the highest speed is 200km/h per hour.

At present, the new car is the only Chinese brand ultra-luxury full-size SUV model in China. In terms of market competition, considering the positioning and body size of the new car, there is not yet a model that can fully compete with it, but Rolls-Royce Curinan and Bentley Tianyue, which are also positioning ultra-luxury SUV models, may also compete with the new car on a certain level.

Public data show that at present, FAW Red Flag car sales of the best models are Red Flag HS5 and Red Flag H5, with cumulative sales of 58675 and 33215 vehicles respectively in the first half of this year. With the listing of Red Flag LS7, the product rectangle of FAW Red Flag will be more perfect. As for whether it can help FAW Red Flag to achieve its annual sales target of 450000-500000 vehicles in 2022, wait for the market test.
