On the side of the body, the Kia Lion Platinum extension will provide four kinds of wheel rims, which are inspired by UFO and form visual contrast through two-color matching. At the rear of the vehicle, the new car adopts through-type black taillights and a large area of black decorative panels at the bottom. The LED luminous structure in the lamp cavity is anti-C-shaped, which is connected by a narrow trim plate. The bilateral design of the rear bumper plus the silver rear guard plate improves the recognition of the whole vehicle.

In terms of interior decoration, according to the comprehensive espionage photos, the interior design style of the new car is the same as that of overseas models, using a double screen design with a full LCD dashboard and a central multimedia display screen, and the air conditioning system has an independent display area and uses touch buttons. The shift system adopts a knob design, and its rear includes driving mode setting, ramp assistance, parking assistance, automatic parking and parking images. However, the unique air-conditioning outlet shape of the overseas version has returned to the conventional design on the Lion Platinum boundary, and the position of the cup holder has also been changed from the right side of the shift knob to the front of the central handrail.

In terms of power, according to the declaration information, Qishi Platinum extension will provide fuel and oil-electric hybrid power systems, of which the former is equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged engine codenamed G4NN, the maximum power 174kw, and the hybrid version is equipped with a hybrid system composed of a 2.0L engine and a motor codenamed GN4R, and the maximum power of the engine 111kw.

The first generation of Kia Sportage was born in 1993, which is older than Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. In the domestic market, Dongfeng Yueda Kia introduced the second generation Kia Sportage into domestic sales by import in 2004. This generation is sold in the same room as Zhirun.

The release of the model is the fifth generation of Kia Sportage, Lion Platinum expansion will be the new name of domestic models. According to the plan, the new car will be unveiled and pre-sold at the Chengdu auto show and will be launched in the third quarter. After the launch, it will continue to compete with Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V and other models. It is not known whether the new car will be sold in the same room.

According to the plan, this year is the first year for Kia to start electrification. In addition to introducing HEV hybrid models, the pure electric model EV6 will soon be introduced into China. By 2027, starting with the new pure electric vehicle EV6, Kia will launch new electric models in the Chinese market every year and gradually build a new EV matrix for six electric vehicles. In the next decade, Kia has set the goal of producing and selling more than 4 million vehicles in China.
