The new car, like the current BMW eDrive 35L, is equipped with an excitation synchronous motor model HA0001N0, but the maximum power of the new car is 250kW and the maximum speed is 180km/h. For comparison, the maximum power of the BMW eDrive 35L on sale is the 210kW, compared with an improvement in the power performance of the new car, and it is not clear whether the new car will improve in terms of battery capacity and mileage.

In the front part, the new car adopts the latest BMW 3-Series family design style, the front face is BMW's iconic double-kidney closed grille, and the interior of the grille is decorated with blue strips. According to the declaration information, the new car will offer three different styles of front grille and headlamp styles. In the rear part, the new taillights also use BMW family style with two optional rear bumper strips, with the word "eDrive40L" on the tail mark.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4872/1846/1481mm and the wheelbase is 2966mm. According to the declaration information, the new car offers four different wheel shapes, with the tire specifications of the front 225amp 45R19 + rear 245max 40R19 and the front 225amp 50R18 + rear 245max 45R18.

In the interior, the new car is expected to have an integrated floating curved screen design, consisting of a 14.9-inch touch display and a 12.3-inch digital dashboard, and the car system uses iDrive 8. On the competitive products, it is expected that the new car will also compete with Xiaopeng P7, Tesla Model 3, ET5 and other models after its launch.

According to the concern of the automobile industry, the BMW eDrive 35L model on sale is the sixth electric vehicle of the BMW Group, which went on sale on March 31 this year and began delivery in May at a price of 349900 yuan, which is sold only in the Chinese market. The new BMW i3 positioning all-electric medium-sized sports sedan can be regarded as an all-electric version of the fuel version of the BMW 3-Series, but there are differences in appearance. As a pure electric version, the BMW i3 incorporates a lot of electric elements in its overall design. The front face features a larger double-kidney intake grille with a chrome-plated frame, a fully enclosed design and a bright black matrix interior, with a frame of blue stripes and chrome to identify the new energy vehicle with the i3 eDrive 35L logo on the rear. The fifth generation eDrive powertrain is equipped with a drive motor with a maximum output power of 210kw and a peak torque of 400 N ·m, matched by 70kwh's high nickel ternary lithium battery pack with a range of 526km under the CLTC standard.

BMW Group has previously said that the BMW eDrive 35L model is the latest product for BMW Group to continue to expand its electrified models. Sales of the BMW i3 were 586 in June and 1116 in July, according to the Federation of passengers. According to the plan, BMW expects to launch 12 all-electric models in China by 2023, covering almost all current market segments. By 2025, at least 1/4 of BMW's cars sold in China will be pure electric vehicles. It is unclear whether these models will be accepted by consumers.
