In terms of interior decoration, the new Tan Yue adds a 12-inch suspended central control screen, and the steering wheel also uses the latest three-spoke styling and is replaced with touch buttons, which does have some room for improvement compared with the old models. Tanyue is one of the best-selling models of FAW-Volkswagen, and it is also one of the best-selling SUV models in the market, but it has been complained by users for many months before. The main complaints include engine exhaust failure and high fuel consumption, among which engine exhaust failure and high engine fuel consumption are concentrated complaints by car owners. Many car owners reported that the blocking fuel consumption of Tanyue particle trap was too high, resulting in vehicle acceleration failure and increasing fuel consumption. In July 2020, Tanyue X officially went on sale, and the new car is based on Tanyue, with a price range of 23.58-295800 yuan.
Tanyue soon became popular with consumers, with sales of 20235 vehicles in its two months on the market in 2018 and 179428 in 2019, but sales fell to 168445 in 2020 due to the epidemic. After entering 2021, Tanyue may be affected by a shortage of chips, coupled with the impact of particle traps, the market performance is not very good, with a cumulative sales of 89339 vehicles for the whole year and 44519 vehicles in the first half of 2022.
