The Tencent D9, its first MPV model, went on sale today and will open at 22:00 in the evening, with delivery of the new car expected in September, according to Tencent Automotive officials.

As BYD's first luxury MPV, the new car went on sale in May, launching a total of seven DM-i super hybrid and pure electric versions at a pre-sale price range of 33.5 to 660000. Among them, the DM-i super hybrid version has four models, the pre-price is 33.5-445000 yuan, and the pure electric version has two models, the pre-price is 39-460000 yuan. In addition, the new car also launched a four-seater Genesis model, the price is 660000 yuan, a limited edition of 99. According to official figures, more than 30000 orders were made during the pre-sale of new cars.

In terms of appearance, the new car uses a new family-oriented design language, with a large forward air grille on the front face, sharp matrix headlights on both sides, embedded matrix LED headlights and an inverted trapezoidal huge front grille, which looks quite luxurious and atmospheric as a whole. The side of the body, the new car body is slender, using the standard MPV body structure, the second row uses two-sided electric sliding doors, and the door handle is the traditional style. in addition, the streamlined waistline, down-pressed roof and more than 19-inch spoke rims make the whole car full of movement. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 5250/1960/1920mm, wheelbase 3110mm, positioning medium and large luxury MPV. In the rear part, the new car taillight adopts the popular through-type LED taillight group, and the shape of the internal arrow-feather taillight group makes the car highly recognizable. The rear is equipped with a small car roof spoiler.

In the interior part, the new car adopts BYD family design style, embracing cockpit layout, equipped with 10.25inch full liquid crystal instrument and 15.6inch central control suspension screen, built-in potential Link high-performance 5G system, steering wheel adopts double-spoke design, multi-function keys are touch-sensitive design, the overall sense of science and technology. As a medium and large luxury MPV, in terms of seat layout, the new car adopts a 2-2-3 seven-seat layout.

In terms of power, the new car has launched DM-i super hybrid version and pure electric power options, equipped with blade battery, the DM-i model is equipped with 1.5T Snapcloud-plug hybrid system, the maximum range 1040km, pure electric range 190km and 50km, the fuel consumption is 6.2L and 5.9L respectively, and both drive modes have two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive models.

At the level of market competition, considering the positioning of the new car, the new car will form a competitor with Lantu's first MPV model, the Lantu Dreamer. For comparison, Lantu Dreamer locates a large MPV with a price range of 36.99-439900 yuan. Relevant data show that since the Lantu dreamer went on sale on May 7, it has sold a total of 1023 vehicles, including 1023 in July.

According to the FIFA data, the cumulative sales of the domestic MPV market from January to July this year was 514000, down 21% from the same period last year. Although the current MPV market volume is small, with the launch of the Lantu Dreamer, FAW Toyota GRANVIA, Hongqi brand new MPV, the new Buick GL8 and Tengli D9, the market has also undergone slight changes. After the new cars are listed, the MPV market models may be further improved. It is not clear whether these models will sell well.
