In response to this matter, Xiaopeng Motor also explained the matter today, saying that in September 2021, the owner reported that there was a leakage in the car. After inspection by the store, it was preliminarily judged that there were signs of slight water leakage in the sealing strip at the joint of the front shield glass and the skylight glass. At that time, the solution proposed by the store was to replace the front shield glass free of charge, or re-glue the sealing place, and provide transportation service during maintenance. At the same time, we hope to carry out local disassembly inspection of the customer's vehicle, judge the potentially related water vapor intrusion, and provide further maintenance and complete care scheme according to the actual damage of the vehicle, but the customer has so far refused to inspect and insist on the request of changing the car. Since then, the store has repeatedly taken the initiative to contact customers to negotiate maintenance plans, because customers are still demanding a high compensation of more than 30,000 yuan plus free handling of any vehicle use problems within five years, the two sides failed to reach an agreement.

Xiaopeng also said: at present, with regard to the handling of the incident, the local authorities have been involved in mediation. Based on the actual losses caused to car owners, Xiaopeng Motor is willing to give customers reasonable additional care on the basis of free maintenance in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "three guarantees Law". In addition, it will continue to maintain active communication with car owners and strive to reach an agreement with car owners as soon as possible.

It is worth noting that last year, a Guangzhou car owner sent a video message: he bought a Xiaopeng P7 skylight leaking. It said that after using the new car for only two days, it was found that there was water seepage in the car. It's raining outside, and there's water in the rearview mirror. As for why there is water seepage in the vehicle, the owner said that the negotiation reached between the two parties behind Xiaopeng did not explain what caused the water seepage.
