At the 2022 Chengdu Auto Show held on August 26th, the high-end new energy brand of Dayun Group, Yuanhang Automobile, was officially unveiled. The brand unveiled four new cars, namely, Yuanghang Y6, Yuanghang Y7, Yuanhang H8 and Yuanhang H9. Among them, the Yuanhang Y series is the pure electric car, and the far Sailing H series is the pure electric SUV.

First of all, the Yuanhang Y6, the new car positioning medium-sized pure electric car, the overall shape has the fixed vision of the ET7. In terms of appearance, the new car adopts the common closed front grille design of pure electric models, with sharp LED headlights on both sides of the front face and double lenses inside the headlights. The size of Yuanghang Y7 is not much different from that of Yuanhang Y6, and it is also positioned as a medium-sized pure electric car. In terms of appearance, compared with the long voyage Y6, the design style of the long voyage Y7 is more sporty, with triangular headlights on both sides of its closed front face, and the lamp group has the ability to project, for example, the words "please pass" on the sidewalk. It is worth mentioning that, in order to emphasize the sense of movement, the front door of the new car is designed with scissors, which is similar to the P7 wing version of Xiaopeng. Long voyage H8 positioning medium pure electric SUV is very similar to long voyage Y6 in appearance, and can even be directly regarded as the SUV version of long voyage Y6. In terms of appearance, the Yuanhang H8 also uses a closed front design, the left and right sides are equipped with a rather round headlamp group, and the interior is designed with double lenses, which inherits the ventilation holes on both sides and the trapezoidal ventilation holes on the lower side in the front encirclement. The side of the body is the same as the Y6, equipped with hidden door handles and rimless doors, multi-spoke rims for styling and movement, and a large number of chrome-plated decorations to enhance the sense of grade. As for the Voyage H9, the design style is different from other models and will be positioned as the family's flagship SUV. In terms of appearance, the new car adopts a split headlight group on the basis of the closed front face, and the lines of the headlight group and the front engine hatch cover blend with each other. In terms of size, the new car length width and height 5220/2015/1760mm, wheelbase 3125mm, positioning medium and large pure electric SUV.

Many people must still remember the advertisement of "Universiade Motorcycle". Heavy trucks, Universiade light trucks and Universiade motorcycles are all familiar to consumers. Data show that Dayun Group was founded in 1987, headquartered in Yuncheng, Shanxi Province, started with motorcycle business, and entered the field of commercial vehicles in 2004.

In October 2009, the first Universiade heavy truck went offline, so the slogan "Universiade heavy trucks, the wind racing the world" began to be broadcast on televisions across the country, and Universiade officially completed the transformation from motorcycles to cars. Also in 2009, Dayun Group acquired Sichuan Yinhe Automobile Group Co., Ltd., established Chengdu Dayun Automobile Group Co., Ltd., and established Hubei Dayun Automobile Co., Ltd. in Shiyan, Hubei Province the following year. By 2010, Dayun Automobile has become the representative of China's private heavy trucks.

However, the Universiade Group's entry into the new energy passenger car market has not achieved remarkable results, and the performance of the two products is mediocre. Data show that Yuehu sold 5298 vehicles from January to July in 2022, while Yuanzhi M1 sold 1478 vehicles.

The rapid rise of new energy vehicles represented by Tesla, and the rapid growth of Lai, Xiaopeng and the ideal market share have suddenly made many enterprises feel that car-building is not out of reach. In the current era of the "new four modernizations" (electrification, intelligence, networking and sharing), the whole automobile industry is standing at the crossroads of transformation, and the pattern of the traditional automobile industry is also being broken. More and more companies are starting to build cars, including Foxconn, Baidu, Ali, Xiaomi, Apple and so on.

Is it really that easy to build a car? Actually, it's not. Building a car first requires a huge amount of financial support, and "burning money" is inevitable in this car-building game. Li Bin, chairman of Xilai Automobile, once said, "Don't build a car without 20 billion", and 20 billion is just an admission ticket for car building.

Although the word "building a car" seems light, in fact, enterprises need to make a lot of preparations for it. Xiaomi, for example, which announced its entry not long ago, directly revealed the cash balance of 108 billion yuan in its account, which shows how much effort it takes to build a car.

We all know that new energy vehicles are "cakes", but it is not easy to eat them. In the past, the story of burning money to ripen an industry ended up "burning" a giant or wiping out the whole army.
