As a product in cooperation with Subaru, the new GR 86 exterior interior is very similar to Subaru BRZ. From the real car point of view, the new generation of GR 86 uses a new design style, the front face uses a larger size of black grille, surrounded by the design of inverted "L-shaped" ventilation openings, with sharp triangular headlights and "L-shaped" layout of LED daytime driving lights, so that the vehicle has a very strong sports attributes, the brand logo is placed in the center of the hood, and marked with the "GR" LOGO logo on the left.

Toyota GR 86 and Subaru BRZ are sister models as well as competitors. In the sports car field, Toyota mainly has Supra and GR 86 models, of which Supra announced the price on April 2, 2021, and the new car launched 2.0T and 3.0T models with a price range of 496000 yuan and 626000 yuan, focusing on the high-end sports car market. The positioning of GR 86 is obviously lower than the former, and its design and product improvement space are more conservative to avoid conflicts with Supra.
