On August 30, GAC Honda ZR-V was officially launched. Three new models were launched, with the price range of 159,900 - 195,900 yuan. It is understood that the new car positioning compact SUV, between Binzhi and Haoying, and the brand-new generation Civic on the same platform, power equipped with 1.5T turbocharged engine.

In terms of appearance, GAC Honda ZR-V adopts brand-new design style, which is obviously different from Honda models currently on sale. Its front face cancels the chrome trim strip of GAC Honda family style, adopts hexagonal middle net design, with honeycomb mesh grille inside, sharp headlight groups on both sides above, and two muscle lines are designed on the engine compartment cover connected with the middle net, which are connected with the two muscle lines of the middle net part. Increase the domineering and tough style of the whole vehicle. It is worth mentioning that the Honda logo is no longer placed on the front grille, but moved to the part where it meets the hood to make the vehicle look more recognizable.

On the side of the car body, the lines on the side of the car are relatively simple. The waist line extends all the way from the front fender to the rear and is connected with the taillights. The front and rear doors of GAC Honda ZR-V adopt traditional door handles, which makes the whole vehicle look stable. At the rear of the car, the new car adopts a two-out exhaust layout on both sides. The taillights do not adopt the popular through-type lamp group, but adopt a separate design form, but look more rounded, and the L-shaped taillight strip also echoes the front LED daytime running lights. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4568/1840/1621mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2655mm, which is between Binzhi and Haoying.

In terms of interior decoration, GAC Honda ZR-V shares HA platform with compact model, so the design style of "Simplicity and Something" is adopted in the car, equipped with 10.2-inch full LCD instrument, 10.1-inch front suspension multimedia touch screen as standard in the whole series, air conditioning air outlet design running through to co-driver at the bottom, and some physical control buttons are reserved in the central control panel area. The overall design is relatively traditional. In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged engine with a maximum engine power of 134kW (182 hp) and a maximum torque of 240N·m. The transmission system will match the CVT continuously variable transmission.

As a compact SUV, GAC Honda ZR-V will compete with Toyota Corolla Sharp/Front Landa, Volkswagen Touyue/Search Song, Nissan Xiaoke and other models. As a comparison, the price of GAC Honda ZR-V is 159,900 - 195,900 yuan, the price of Dongfeng Nissan is 154,900 - 188,900 yuan, and the price of GAC Toyota Fenglanda is 125,800 - 169,800 yuan, all of which are similar to GAC Honda ZR-V, forming a certain competitive relationship.

Many consumers are disappointed with the price of new cars. From the product point of view, GAC Honda ZR-V positioning is between Binzhi and Haoying, but its price is not much different from Haoying, if add Haoying in the terminal market discount, and ZR-V just listed and impossible to reduce the price of sales, so it is completely possible to buy Haoying at the price of ZR-V. In addition, compared with the same class models, the advantages of GAC Honda ZR-V are not obvious, especially compared with Toyota Fenglanda, the price of the highest equipped 2.0L flagship version is 169,800 yuan, plus the terminal market discount, only about 5000 yuan higher than that of the beggar version. Based on this, the pricing of GAC Honda ZR-V is indeed confident enough.

In addition to the launch of the new car, the e:HEV built based on GAC Honda ZR-V debuted. The new car adopted a more unique appearance. The brand-new vertical bar air intake grille on the front face was differentiated from the fuel version, while the front surround adopted a new shape. The Honda LOGO above the grille symbolized its hybrid model identity with blue strokes, while the "e:HEV" logo at the rear indicated the hybrid model identity of the car.

The configuration and power information related to GAC Honda ZR-V e:HEV have yet to be further disclosed by the official. However, since both ZR-V and GAC Honda models are built on HA platform, ZR-V e:HEV is expected to be equipped with the same power system of model e:HEV. For reference, Model e:HEV is equipped with Honda's fourth generation i-MMD hybrid system, and the engine will be a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine code-named LFB17 with a maximum power of 105kW.

According to official sources, GAC Honda hybrid matrix will continue to expand, in addition to the appearance of ZR-V in e:HEV and previously announced declaration information of the model e:HEV, but also will continue to launch Haoying e:HEV, Accord e:HEV, Lingpai e:HEV and Odyssey e:HEV, the future hybrid version of the addition will bring Chinese consumers more rich car purchase options.
