Different from the price increase news previously reported, the previous price increases of major brands are based on existing models and are only adjusted for the price, which does not involve product configuration, and the reason for the price increase is mostly due to the rise in the price of raw materials, while the price of the tank 300 has been raised this time. The reason is that part of the configuration is upgraded. Including holographic equipment trailer pick-up port, the whole system is equipped with trailer square port, the whole department newly added air conditioning entity button, cross-country version back-up box lighting position adjustment to the roof. It is worth mentioning that the tank 300 will be officially switched to the new state model at 0:00 on September 1st, and the next ordered tank 300 models are all new state models, so they can no longer be purchased before the upgrade.

The tank 300 went on sale in December 2020 with a price range of 17.58 yuan to 213800 yuan. It is understood that the tank 300 first belonged to the Great Wall Wei brand, which is also the reason why the tail mark of some models on the street shows "WEY". In April 2021, Great Wall announced that the tank brand was officially independent, and the tank 300 was officially included under the Great Wall tank brand as its first mass production model, and the original "WEY" mark was changed to the "TANK" mark. In July 2021, the tank brand announced the price of the city version of the tank, which ranges from 20.00 yuan to 230000 yuan, of which the top must be a limited model, which is sold in a limited edition every month. Since then, the tank brand based on Tank 300 has been listed in cyber tanks, border limited edition, Fenglin Iron Horseman, Tank Ranger and other modified models.

As a hard-core domestic SUV, the launch of Tank 300 lowers the threshold for domestic consumers to get access to hard-line cross-country SUV, which is also the main reason for hot sales after the launch of Tank 300. Wholesale sales show that the cumulative sales of 84588 tanks in 2021 and 58774 from January to July in 2022, during which production was reduced many times due to the influence of the supply of spare parts, which continued to fall short of demand in the market. Coupled with the slow production, the price of tank 300 in the second-hand car market is rising, and the demand is also only increasing. A second-hand tank that has been driven for several months can still be sold at a price higher than the purchase price.

In addition to the steady growth in sales, the Tank 300 is also facing more and more competitors, such as the shortcut TMY 1, which just made its debut at the Chengdu Auto Show. The new car adopts a relatively tough and retro design style, similar to Ford Bronco, Land Rover Guardian and other models, with high protruding engine covers, protruding wings on both sides and a variety of strong lines. At the same time, the LED headlamp group forms a square retro shape, while the headlamp as a whole is built into a lantern shape, which is combined with Chinese traditional culture. In addition, the front enclosure of the new car is equipped with a wide protective plate, which shows the wildness of the vehicle. On the side of the body, the new car uses relatively straight lines, a suspended roof and a hidden door handle. The rear part of the car also adopts a tough design style, which is similar to that of the Land Rover Guardian, while the external spare tire design is adopted, and the rear enclosure adopts a very strong design, which can form a good echo with the front encirclement design.

At the 2022 Chengdu Auto Show, Tank officially released the HEV version of Tank 300. the styling design of the new car basically continues the style characteristics of the fuel version, and the word "Hybrid" marked on the side of the body highlights its identity as a new energy source. In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a 2.0T Miller cycle turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 224kw and a maximum torque of 640N ·m. The traditional system will match the 9HAT transmission and the fuel consumption under comprehensive operating conditions will be controlled within 10L/100km.
