Due to the influence of the convertible structure, the new car cancels the second row seats, and the front seats cannot be toppled down, making it less practical, but for consumers who buy the Hongguang MINIEV convertible version, these are not a big problem. In the power part, according to the information declared by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the new car will be equipped with the front motor produced by Zhejiang founder Motor Co., Ltd., the maximum power 30kW, peak torque 110N ·m, the current mileage has yet to be announced, it is expected to achieve 300km service under CLTC conditions.

Hongguang MINIEV is a minicar owned by SAIC GM Wuling. Although minicars are very popular, their profits are very low. In fact, many car companies layout minicars, in addition to taking on the task of volume, more is the stimulation of the double points policy. According to SAIC's latest financial report, SAIC GM Wuling's revenue in the first half of the year rose 2.18% year-on-year to 32.967 billion yuan, while net profit fell 15.01% to 330 million yuan. It is understood that Hongguang MINIEV bicycle profit is less than 90 yuan, and in the context of chip shortage and rising raw material prices, its bicycle profit will also shrink.

As for the latest convertible version, judging from the actions of SAIC GM Wuling, it does not intend to take volume, but more to increase awareness and attention, so that more people can experience the fun of convertibles. The Hongguang MINIEV convertible version lowers the threshold of the convertible and is known as "the first convertible for young people", but if the price is too high, the audience of the convertible model is still relatively limited.
