The appearance of the new car is based on the fourth generation Qijun, from the exposure of the declaration information, the appearance of the new car is still using the current fuel version of the design style, using V-motion design language, the front face with horizontal grille with split headlight group design, the upper headlight group and the front grille fusion to form an integrated shape, surrounded by trapezoidal heat dissipation openings and sturdy front lips, the overall recognition is higher.
On the side of the body, the new car is still consistent with the conventional fuel version. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car is 4681/1840/1730mm, and the wheelbase is 2706mm, which is consistent with the fuel version. In terms of tires, the new car will be equipped with 235Compact 60R18 and 235gam55 R19 specifications. According to the declaration, the new car will offer 12 body colors, including five two-color bodies and seven monochrome bodies, with a black roof.
In the rear part, the taillight group on both sides of the new car adopts fumigation treatment, and the tail has its own e-POWER logo, which is different from the fuel version. In addition, the rear enclosure of the new car is equipped with a chrome-plated decorative diffuser and the exhaust adopts a hidden exhaust layout.
The interior part has not been released yet, but according to previous reports, the appearance and interior of the new car are basically the same as the fuel version, with only some details adjusted, and it is expected that the new car will continue the design style of the current fuel version.
In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with the second generation e-POWER hybrid system, which is composed of 1.5T engine and dual motors, in which the maximum power of 1.5T engine is 106kW, the peak torque is 250Nm, the maximum power of front motor is 150kW, the peak torque is 330Nm, the maximum power of rear motor is 100kW, and the peak torque is 195Nm. In addition, the new car will also be equipped with dual-drive motors to achieve four-wheel drive.
Qijun is a compact SUV owned by Nissan, according to previous reports from the automobile industry, cash is on sale in Nissan Xinqi Jun in July 2021, the price of the car is 18.19-262900 yuan, as a new generation model, the new car is mainly aimed at the appearance, interior decoration and configuration adjustments, while the biggest change of the new car lies in power. The latest VC-Turbo superengine developed by Xinqi Jun is replaced with a 1.5T three-cylinder turbocharged engine. Maximum power 150kW, maximum torque 300N ·m, matched with a new generation of CVT gearbox.
However, the new generation of Nissan Qijun listed on the market is not recognized by consumers, sales almost halved the trend. The data show that Nissan's cumulative sales of Qijun was 175177 vehicles in 2020, but after the replacement, Xinqijun's sales directly fell to the bottom. In 2021, the cumulative sales of Qijun in China for the whole year of 2021 was 100761 vehicles, of which the sales from January to June were 18583, 10113, 14418, 14336, 12855 and 11,581 respectively, and from August to December were 4,035,4021,4010,401,288 respectively, and only 1,875 from August to December. Its sales began to fall sharply. After entering 2022, sales are still low. The latest figures show that Xinqi Jun sold 11826 vehicles from January to July in 2022, of which only 614 in July.
Up to now, the models sold by Dongfeng Nissan include Xuan Yi, Teana, Canda, Bluebird, SUV Qijun, Xiaoke, Jinke and Loulan. Although there are many products under its purview, only Xuanyi, Teana and Haoke have performed well. Qijun was once the sales pillar of Nissan, and the decline in its sales has also directly affected Nissan's sales performance in the Chinese market. The data show that Nissan China sold 745793 vehicles in August, down 18.5% from a year earlier, although Nissan China attributed the decline to "serious external factors such as the COVID-19 epidemic and cross-industry raw material shortages." However, Nissan Qijun used to be a volume model of Nissan, and the decline in sales will naturally affect the overall performance of Nissan. As for whether Dongfeng Nissan Qijun e-POWER can bring new sales growth after its listing this year, it still has more time to wait and see.
