In terms of appearance, the new Volkswagen Bora design basically follows the design style of cash models, but the whole is more fashionable. In the front part, the new car's forward grille and headlamp group adopt a new styling design, which looks more fresh than the cash. In addition, the new car is expected to have two kinds of front face shapes. According to the declaration information, the new car will offer two types of headlamp group styling options, one daylight design at the bottom of the lamp group, rising to connect with the chrome strip running through the middle, and another daylight running through the center of the lamp group.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4672/1815/1478mm, wheelbase is 2688mm, positioning compact car, the size is the same as the current model on sale, the new car will provide different shapes of 17-inch rims.

Data show that Bora is a classic model of FAW-Volkswagen, and it is also the first self-designed model of FAW-Volkswagen. At present, Bora has experienced four generations of model iterations, and Bora was first introduced into the Chinese market in 2001.

In 2001, FAW-Volkswagen introduced the fourth generation Jetta into China, and named it "Bora". In October 2008, the second generation of Bora was launched, and the new car was improved based on the PQ34 platform, eliminating 1.8L engines and switching to 1.6L and 2.0L engines. In December 2012, the third-generation Bora was officially launched. Compared with previous generations, the appearance of the third-generation Bora has been greatly changed, abolishing the 2.0L engine and providing both 1.6T+6AT and 1.4T+DSG power. In June 2018, the fourth generation Bora was officially launched, based on the Volkswagen MQB platform, the appearance was redesigned again, and the 1.6L engine was replaced by a 1.5L engine.

At present, the brand-new Bora model on sale was officially launched on June 28 this year, with a total of 5 models with a price range of 11.29-141900 yuan. it is the fourth generation mid-term modified model of Bora, which is mainly adjusted for appearance, interior and power. the car cancels the 1.5L naturally aspirated engine and provides only 1.2T and 1.4T engines, of which Low configuration 1.2T turbocharged engine maximum power 116Ps (85kw), maximum torque 200N ·m 1.4T turbocharged engine, maximum power 150Ps (110kw), maximum torque 250N ·m. In terms of competitive products, from the perspective of Bora's current positioning and price, the biggest highlight of the new car is the improvement in power. it is expected that the new car will compete with models such as Dongfeng Nissan Xuanyi, SAIC Volkswagen Longyi, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Leiling and so on. As a reference, Dongfeng Nissan Xuanyi currently sells for 9.98-174900 yuan; SAIC-Volkswagen Longyi sells for 12.09-150900 yuan Toyota Corolla sells for 10.98-159800 yuan; Toyota Leiling sells for 11.18-152800 yuan.

In terms of sales, in comparison, over the past year, Xuanyi has sold 464322 vehicles, Longyi 365897, Corolla 251649, Leiling 184765, and Bora 207552, which may further boost Bora's sales with the launch of new models.
