On Sept. 15, Subaru released the official drawing of Subaru Crosstrek, which is the replacement of Subaru XV. It is understood that Subaru Crosstrek will make its debut at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show, first listing in the Japanese market, and then in major global markets, including the Chinese market.

In terms of appearance, the new car uses the latest family design style, the larger intake grille interior still retains the horizontal through trim, the center is embedded with the brand LOGO, and the shape of the headlamp group is also optimized, similar to the previously released new Li Lion, similar to the "C" shape of the daylight design is very recognizable. In terms of the rear, the design of the new car's taillights is the same as that of the headlights, while the rear enclosure uses a hidden exhaust design. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the daily version are 4480/1800/1580mm and the wheelbase is 2670mm.

In terms of interior decoration, the new car adopts a family-style design style, but the design style is still relatively traditional. The 11.6-inch central control screen is embedded, and the physical buttons with some common functions are still retained below for easy operation. In addition, the new car will also be equipped with the latest version of the EyeSight driving assistance system to provide more driving assistance functions. In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a power system composed of 2.0L DOHC direct injection engine and e-BOXER motor, and the transmission system matches the upgraded CVT gearbox.

Data show that Subaru XV was born in the new wing leopard platform, released in April 2011, is a cross-border derivative of wing leopard, in fact, it and the previous wing leopard XV is a model. On the new wing leopard platform, Subaru stripped it out of the wing leopard car system and named it Subaru XV, which is equivalent to upgrading from an original model to a car line. In February 2012, Subaru China announced that Subaru XV was officially launched, and the new car launched six models according to different configurations, with a price of 19.98-232800 yuan. In terms of power, the Subaru XV is equipped with a 2.0L horizontal opposite engine with a maximum power of 150hp and a peak torque of 196Nm. On September 19, 2017, the new generation of Subaru XV officially went on sale, with a price range of 20.48-234800 yuan.

Without considering the identity of imported models, from the price range and positioning of Subaru XV, it mainly competes with compact SUV models such as Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4 Rongfang, Mitsubishi Outlander and Jeep Compass. Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 are two very high-selling models in China's compact SUV market, while Mitsubishi Orlander and Jeep Compass are also very strong competitors.

According to Subaru's official website, four models are currently on sale, including Forest Man, Aohu, XV and BRZ, of which the new generation of Aohu officially went on sale in March 2021 with a price range of 31.28-330800 yuan. In November 2021, the mid-term modified Forest Man was officially listed, with a price of 22.38-265800 yuan. In December 2021, the new generation of BRZ officially appeared on the market, with a manual price of 308800 yuan and an automatic price of 330800 yuan.

Subaru sold 16886 vehicles in China in 2021, down 22.82% from a year earlier, according to the data. Cumulative sales from January to June in 2022 were 9822 vehicles, down 36.38% from the same period last year.
