Its first supercar model was named "Hyper SSR". The new car launched two models with a price range of 128.6-1.686 million, which will officially begin delivery in October 2023. Ean said the new car is a 100% Chinese supercar with independent design, independent research and development and independent intelligence.

Hyper SSR is not only a supercar, but also a pure electric car, the front face is obviously more inclined to the direction of supercar, the overall appearance of the more traditional low-lying wide-body supercar structure, "L"-shaped LED headlights with wide front and rear wing panels, segmented LED light belt also brings it a higher degree of recognition. In the rear part of the car, the roof is equipped with high brake lights and integrated rear cameras, while the bottom is equipped with a narrow taillight set, with a diffuser device surrounded by the rear and a lifting tail, which further highlights the sense of movement of the car. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4538/1988/1238mm.

In terms of interior decoration, the new car is equipped with a 14.6-inch suspension central control screen and a high 8.8-inch LCD dashboard, a hexagonal sports steering wheel made of carbon fiber, a double-layer style at the middle handrail and an air conditioning outlet in the shape of two towers. In addition, the new car is also equipped with a lever-type electronic shift mechanism.

In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a front and rear dual-motor all-wheel drive system with a maximum power of 1225 horsepower, a peak torque of 12000 Nm and an official acceleration time of only 1.9 seconds. However, the official did not announce the specific mileage of the new car.

According to the data, GAC Ean is a new energy vehicle brand under GAC GROUP, which was established in July 2017. At the Guangzhou Auto Show in 2020, Guangzhou Auto Eian announced its independence and changed its name from GAC NE Automobile Co., Ltd. to Guangqi Ean New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. At the same time, GAC Ean announced that the brand renovated, using a more flattened design of the "G" mark, the inner ring using "AION blue" hue, in order to highlight the electric identity.

On Sept. 13, Ean said at a press conference that it would challenge its sales target of 300000 vehicles this year. According to GAC GROUP's latest data, GAC Ean sold a total of 152300 vehicles from January to August 2022, an increase of 134.37% over the same period last year, with a target completion rate of 51%. If GAC Ean wants to achieve its annual sales target of 300000 vehicles, it is estimated that sales will need to reach more than 37500 in the remaining four months. It should be noted that the excessively high proportion of B-end sales is also a major concern for Ean. According to the data, GAC Ean sold a total of 120200 vehicles in 2021, of which more than 43 per cent came from the B-end market, resulting in a decline in brand image as well as sales of subsequent models.

In the new power of car building, the luxury of building a brand with the help of supercar is a common pattern for many companies, such as EP9 under NIO and Roadstar under Tesla, which set up a high-end position in the early days of the brand's debut. The difference is that the two cars are only positioned as high-end brands, not mass-produced.

At present, brand upward has become the necessary layout of China's independent brands. New power brands such as Ulai and ideal point to the products and prices of BBA, while Changan Avita, Dongfeng Lantu, SAIC Zhiji, BAIC Polar Fox and other brands are all upward attempts of traditional car companies. Earlier, BYD had said it would withdraw from its high-end luxury brand, which sells for millions of dollars, by the end of the year.

Ian is no exception. On September 6, GAC Ean official WeChat announced that the founding meeting of Eian was officially held, which announced that GAC Ean had completed the joint-stock reform, formally changed its name to "Guangqi Ean New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd." and will introduce strategic co-directors. In the future, the newly established GAC Ean New Energy Company will further choose the opportunity to go public.

Some netizens think that "Eian's stride is too big", while others think that it is "born for value". In the era of fuel cars, independent brands were run over by overseas car companies, and it was an unrealistic dream to build supercars, but now after switching to the new energy track, independent brands are obviously in the forefront, and supercars seem to have some strength. However, the introduction of high-end luxury cars or even overruns by independent brands is still insurmountable in the short term, and consumers will still be more inclined to fuel sports cars with brand accumulation in the choice of price and value. But there is no doubt that the high-end process of independent brands in the field of new energy has taken a solid step forward, which is of great historical significance.
