Starting from September 16, 2022, a total of 49 imported pure electric vehicles were recalled for the period from November 18, 2020 to July 21, 2021.

The announcement shows that there may be damage to the copper wire protection layer of the motor stator of the air-conditioning compressor in some vehicles within the scope of this recall, resulting in the copper wire in contact with the compressor lubricant and refrigerant, when there is too much moisture in the lubricant and refrigerant. it may corrode the copper wire, resulting in a decline in the insulation level of the compressor. When the vehicle diagnosis software detects this situation, it will disconnect the main battery relay and cause the power system to shut down, resulting in the loss of power while the vehicle is driving, and there is a safety hidden danger.

In view of the above product defects, Peugeot-Citroen (Shanghai) Management Co., Ltd. will replace air-conditioning compressors for vehicles within the recall range free of charge and install new dehumidifier filter tanks to increase drying capacity so as to eliminate safety risks.

It is understood that DS 3 is the third model launched by DS in the domestic market after DS 4 and DS 5, and this car is also the smallest member of DS. It was introduced into domestic sales by import in August 2012, with a price range of 19.98-249800 yuan. According to DS's official website, DS 3 models currently on sale include the right bank version of the Rivoli model, the left bank version of the opera house, and the first model of the Ines special edition Ink Blue, which are priced at 313300 yuan, 333300 yuan and 323300 yuan respectively. DS's initial performance in China was mediocre, with sales of 26000 vehicles in 2014 and has been declining ever since. According to the data, the sales of DS brand in China from 2015 to 2020 are 21000, 16000, 5847, 3867, 1179 and 376respectively. Against the backdrop of sluggish sales, the number of DS brand dealers has also been greatly reduced, with only 60 DS brand dealers in China at present.

In December 2019, Changan Automobile and PSA Group respectively transferred their 50% stake in the joint venture Peugeot Citroen, and Changan logo Citroen changed from a joint venture into a wholly owned company by Baoneng. In May 2020, the industrial and commercial information of Changan Peugeot Citroen was changed, and the company changed its name to Shenzhen Baoneng Automobile Co., Ltd., which is wholly owned by Shenzhen Qianhai Ruizhi Investment Co., Ltd., which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Baoneng New Energy Automobile Group Co., Ltd. According to the official website of DS, the models currently on sale include DS 3, DS 7 and DS 9, of which DS 9 is the first model launched after Baoneng acquired DS. It was officially launched in March 2021. The new car is based on the EMP3 platform. The current official guidance price is 25.49-404900 yuan, providing 1.6t gasoline and 1.6t plug-in hybrid power. The data show that the cumulative sales of the DS 9 from January to August in 2022 are 373.

As one of the luxury brands, DS exists only in name in China, jumping repeatedly on the edge of obscurity and on the verge of delisting.
