On September 23, the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration issued a notice that BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products, put on record the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration. Since September 23, 2022, a total of 115 imported X7 cars have been recalled from December 11, 2018 to December 14, 2021.

The reason for the vehicle recall is that the pressure springs of the third row seat locking mechanism of the vehicle within the scope of this recall may not be installed or may not be all stuck in the slot. In the case of a vehicle accident or when braking vigorously, if the goods in the suitcase slide, the back of the third row of seats may be pushed down, resulting in safety risks. In view of the above defects, BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will check the pressure spring of the third row seat locking mechanism for vehicles within the recall range free of charge, and reinstall the pressure spring if necessary to eliminate safety risks.
