A total of 63230 Baojun RM-5 cars manufactured during the period from July 23, 2019 to September 4, 2021 will be recalled from November 15, 2022.

The reason for the recall is that due to the limitation of the size of the lens reflection bowl of the headlamp, the exposure range of the headlight is too narrow. In the extreme scene at night, the driver may not be able to see the road on both sides clearly when the vehicle turns, so there is a safety hidden danger. In view of the above defects, SAIC GM Wuling Motor Co., Ltd. will install left and right auxiliary light sources for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge, in order to eliminate safety risks.

It should be noted that this recall was carried out under the circumstances that the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration launched a defect investigation, and affected by the investigation, SAIC GM Wuling Motor Co., Ltd. decided to take the initiative to take recall measures to eliminate safety risks.

According to the concern of the automobile industry, the Baojun RM-5, a model under the Baojun brand, was officially launched on September 5, 2019, and the 1.5L model was launched on November 22 of the same year, offering three seat layouts on 5-6-7, with a price range of 7.88-120800 yuan. Baojun RM-5 is based on R platform, adopts "interstellar geometry" design concept, and is powered by 1.5T and 1.5L engines, of which 1.5L engine maximum output power is 73kW, peak torque is 143N ·m; 1.5T engine maximum power 147hp, peak torque 250Nm, engine form is turbocharged / DVVT/ in-line four-cylinder, transmission system matches 6-gear manual transmission.

However, the model has been discontinued, with figures showing that Baojun RM-5 sold 29191 vehicles in 2020, 2087 in 2021, zero from October to December and 140 from January to August in 2022, including zero in January and February.
