According to officials, during the period from October 2, 2022 to December 31, 2022 (including the same day), users who buy Polestar 2 through Star App will enjoy the lifetime warranty service of the first car owner: during the lifetime warranty period of the first car owner, in view of the quality problems of non-three power companies, Polar Star will undertake to provide free maintenance, repair and replacement of spare parts. On February 27th, Polar Polestar launched its first all-electric car, Polestar 2, which is based on Volvo's CMA architecture. Polestar 2 is positioned as a compact pure electric car, offering two versions of dual-motor and single-motor to choose from, in which the maximum power of single-motor standard service version is 165kW, the peak torque is 330 N ·m, and the range of NEDC is 485 km; the maximum power of single-motor long-range version is 170kW, the peak torque is 330 N ·m, and the range of NEDC is 565 km; the maximum power of dual-motor long-range version is 300kW, the peak torque is 660 N ·m, and the life of NEDC is 512km.

Polestar 2 aimed its opponent directly at Tesla Model 3, but instead of becoming a competitor to Tesla Model 3, Polestar 2 did not win success in the domestic market. Data show that Polestar Polar Star sold a total of 29000 vehicles worldwide in 2021, but the official did not disclose the specific market performance, while Tesla sold 295000 vehicles in the Chinese market this year. As a new power brand, Ulai, Xiaopeng and ideal are also approaching the class of 100000.

In the face of the slowdown in sales, Polestar star began to lower its sales target. Previously, Polestar Star originally set a sales target of 65000 vehicles in 2022, but affected by the epidemic and the supply of spare parts, Polestar Star reduced its annual sales target to 50000 vehicles. Data for the first half of the year show that Polestar Star delivered a total of 21200 vehicles, an increase of 125% over the same period last year, achieving the target of 42%, but did not disclose specific sales in the Chinese market.

According to Polar's plan, it plans to launch a new model every year by 2025, including the Polestar 3, Polestar 4 and Polestar 5. According to Nathan Forshaw, president of Polar Star China and Asia Pacific, these three products in the future will well adapt to the needs of the Chinese market, such as the Polestar 3 and 4 are all SUV models, taking into account the preferences of Chinese consumers. However, the industry believes that even if Polaris speeds up the layout of its products, it may not be able to change its decline in the global market.

Polestar Polar Star's first all-electric convertible, Polestar 6, was launched in the domestic market on Sept. 18, with a global quota of 500 new cars, of which only 10 are in the Chinese market, with an advance price of 1.68 million yuan. According to officials, the future Polestar 6 will be mass-produced entirely based on the Polestar O2 concept car, which will be based on a new self-developed all-aluminum bonding platform and will be officially launched in 2026.
