The Niu Innovation Energy (NIUTRON) car building project was established in November 2018. The brand is headquartered in Beijing, the R & D center is set up in Shanghai, and the R & D and intelligent manufacturing base is located in Changzhou. In December 2020, Jiangsu Niu Innovation Energy Technology Co., Ltd. completed registration with a registered capital of US $50 million. The company is a wholly foreign-owned enterprise wholly owned by a legal person from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao. In August 2021, the address of Niu Innovation Energy was changed to Jintan District, Changzhou City, and the registered capital increased by US $400 million from US $50 million. In December 2021, Niu Innovation Energy officially launched its new automobile brand "NIUTRON" and announced its Chinese name "self-Travel Home".

The reason for the change of Niu Innovation Energy address is related to the production qualification. It was originally planned to invigorate Mahayana's factory in Jintan District, Changzhou, while building the car with the help of Mahayana's production qualification. Data show that Jiangxi Daicheng Automobile Co., Ltd., formerly known as Jiangxi Jiangling Group Light Automobile Co., Ltd., was registered on July 3, 1996. In March 2018, Jiangxi Jiangling Group Light Automobile Co., Ltd. officially changed its name to Jiangxi Daisheng Automobile Co., Ltd., which means that Daisheng has obtained the production qualification of Jiangling Light Automobile. In September 2018, Daisheng held a brand conference in Beijing to announce its official entry into the auto industry. However, in less than two years, Mahayana was in a desperate situation, leaving a mess and a lot of debt.

As a new member of car building, Niu Innovation Energy first car needs production qualification for mass production, and finally chose Mahayana car. For many new brands that enter the bureau to build cars, the production qualification is obtained either through acquisition or contract manufacturing, while Niu Innovation Energy chooses the latter.

Released from the tourist brand, founder Li Yinan said in an interview, "there is no doubt that automobile manufacturing is an industry with a high funding threshold." People have also asked me why I didn't make a car before, but now I want to make a car. In March this year, NV announced that the first car will be officially released and booked on March 31, and delivery will begin in September. However, with the full outbreak of the epidemic and the crisis in the car supply chain, self-travelers have to announce on the official Wechat that the launch of the new car will be postponed.

According to officials, the epidemic disrupted the original plan of the travelers, but as Li Yinan said, they have not been slack for a day. On April 11, the self-tour released its NV Challenge extreme Cold Test. Since July, travelers have updated the construction of offline stores in Wuhan, Hangzhou, Chengdu and Guangzhou on moments.

However, everything seems to be moving forward in an orderly way, but the logo of the "self-traveler" brand has not even been finalized. In the official appearance picture released by the traveler in January this year, the car has the name of the car "NV" and the brand logo of "NIUTRON". However, in the offline stores in Beijing, the word "self-traveler" has been included in the rear of the car. In addition to the "NIUTRON" logo, there are only "Mahayana cars" on the left and "NV" on the right. However, the rear part of the display car in the directly operated stores varies from place to place. Some stores have the logo "Mahayana car" on the rear of the new car, while others are "NV".

In this regard, the relevant person in charge of self-traveler said that the NV model will start the first batch of user delivery in December this year, and the new "Mahayana" logo is because the self-traveler brand is Niu Innovation Energy and Mahayana car, which is not launched alone. The reason why the tail mark of the exhibition car varies from place to place is precisely because the brand trademark of "self-traveler" has not yet been approved. It has been learned from the State Trademark Office that Mahayana applied for the "self-traveler" trademark as early as March 2018, with an international classification of 12 (automobile category), while Niu Innovation Energy applied for the "self-traveler" trademark twice, once in January 2022 and once in March 2018, but the international classification is 35 (advertising). This is why the self-traveler prompts in the poster that the trademark of "self-traveler" is registered by Mahayana.

Li Yinan once said in an interview, "I haven't even built a car, and I haven't been on stage yet. I can't answer the question of whether I can live or not." At present, there is not much time left for self-travelers. New forces such as Volkswagen, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW continue to add new energy vehicles, while self-travelers want to survive in the red sea of new energy vehicles.
